The deadline to register to vote in Georgia is this coming Monday, October 6. Republicans don't want you registered and definitely don't want you to vote. Here are the top 10 reasons why...

Because they would prefer to control your uterus, instead of you.

Georgia Republicans are kinda known for their backward views on women's health. When they're not comparing women to livestock, they're passing and signing in to law terrible legislation that limits a woman's right to make her own health decisions.

Plain and simple: GA Republicans don't trust women.

Control of the United States Senate hangs in the balance. Republicans need only to net just six seats to gain a majority and put the extreme Tea Party wing of the GOP in the driver's seat of both legislative chambers.

If you show up to the polls and elect Michelle Nunn as Georgia's next U.S. Senator, this throws a serious wrench in their plans.

When Republicans are in office, they get rich. We could give you tons of examples, but perhaps the best is Gov. Nathan Deal. His personal income grew from $76,474 the year before he became governor to nearly $1.9 million while in office.

Republican legislators in Georgia have a very narrow, backward definition of love, and as long as they are in power, they get to define love for the rest of us.

GA Republicans don't want you to have access to affordable health care.

Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens vowed that the GA GOP would do "everything in our power to be an obstructionist" to the Affordable Care Act. Hudgens even went further and blamed sick people for getting sick. (We made him famous for that.)

Gov. Nathan Deal has fought expanded access to health care at every turn--he even got paid to do it.

Nathan Deal even helped his republican buddies in the state legislature craft a law that took the power to expand Medicaid away from the governor and put it in the hands of the legislature.

State republican lawmakers really, really want to pass that "religious freedom" bill next year that was shot down during this year's legislative session. It's a bill that would essentially allow businesses in Georgia to discriminate against anyone for any reason by claiming an imposition on their religious freedom.

The GA GOP doesn't really care for women in elected office.

Check out the winners of their primary this year. All the winners of their top offices were men--white men.

There is one caveat: GOP congressional candidate Jody Hice says he has no problem with women running for office "If the woman's within the authority of her husband."

PS: Democrats have more women representing us at the top of ticket than men. But then again, we trust women.

They are obsessed with seeing President Obama fail. If the GOP controls the House and Senate, their sole mission will be to attack our President.

They don't want people of color to vote. And they said this out loud.

Just a few weeks ago, Republican State Senator Fran Millar--after decrying Sunday voting because one of the locations "is dominated by African American shoppers and it is near several large African American mega churches"-- took to Facebook and actually said he would rather have "more educated voters than a greater increase in the number of voters."
