Here Is The Dream Cast Of "Bye Bye Birdie Live"

Since NBC announced J. Lo will be starring and producing NBC's next live music, Bye Bye Birdie, many people have started thinking about what the cast would look like. Based on known singers, theater actors, and character descriptions, we've compiled what we feel would be an ideal cast.

Justin Timberlake playing Albert Peterson

Albert needs to have great charm, great dancing skills, and can be a dork :) He also needs to look he could have been an English teacher. We think Justin Timberlake could do all that! Plus can you imagine the chemistry between JT and JLo??

Zara Larsson playing Kim MacAfee

Kim is 15 in the play. Zara is 18. Kim gets dressed up and wants to be more adult, which Zara can pull off. Zara is also used to live TV as she was discovered when she won Sweden's version of "America's Got Talent" called Talang.

Jake Miller playing Conrad Birdie

The bad boy singer that's about to be shipped off to the army. The inspiration for the character was Elvis Presley and has to play on-the-surface wholesome, but bad boy through and through. We are honestly sincere that Jake can pull that off.

Donna Pescow playing Mae Peterson

Playing a meddling mom can come naturally to Donna as she has been the mom on several series such as "Out Of This World" and "Even Stevens"

Ty Burrell playing Harry MacAfee

Combining a sense of comic relief is Kim's father Harry, who at first is hesitant on allowing Kim to be kissed by Conrad Birdie until he realizes that it will be on his idol's show, Ed Sullivan.

Lauren Graham playing Doris MacAfee

Playing mom is second nature for Lauren. Plus it would be great to see her again on TV!

Shawn Mendes playing Hugo Peabody

Kim's boyfriend who gets insanely jealous of Conrad. Needs to be sweet, charming, and totally the opposite of Conrad.

Chrissy Teigen as Gloria Rasputin

From the actual book: "Gloria is a forceful, broad woman with true gusto. This role will be given to someone who can eloquently command a character performance." Chrissy is such a presence and is quite lovely that there shouldn't be anyone else considered.
