Ivan Ceja

Ivan Ceja, a DREAMer and engineering student, comes from a mixed status family. Ivan’s younger brothers are U.S. citizens, but Ivan and his parents are undocumented and need a permanent solution for their immigration statuses. Ivan is currently able to work and help support his family through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, but continues to hope for similar relief for the rest of his family. Adria Graham

Adria Graham emigrated from Jamaica to join her father, who had moved to the U.S. to support their family. It’s been over a decade since Adria has seen her mother and younger siblings that she left behind in Jamaica. Both Adria and her father need action on immigration to be reunited with their family. Lalo Montoya

Lalo Montoya is Director of Community Outreach at The ShareLingo Project, where he facilitates language exchange programs that benefit his community. Montoya found out he was undocumented while attending a college fair in his junior year of high school. Soon after, he started advocating for the DREAM Act and later received a work permit through DACA. Read on to learn more about Montoya’s story.

Carolina Parra

Carolina is a student and social justice activist at University of Illinois. Carolina is part of a mixed-status family and her family has lived in fear of separation since they arrived in the U.S. in 1993. She and her older brother Miguel both have DACA, but both of her parents continue to seek an opportunity to keep their family together in the U.S. Read this to learn more about Carolina and her family’s story.

Justino Mora

Justino Mora is a DREAMer who studies computer science and political science at UCLA. Mora emigrated from Mexico with his mom and siblings to escape extreme poverty and domestic abuse. As a recipient of DACA, Justino is temporarily able to work and go to school but his mother still lives in fear of deportation. Watch this video to learn more about his story.
