This is such a phenomenal satire of the entire genre of horror, mocking the classic clichés we all know and love. Among the best elements of “Scream” is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a dark comedy, rife with humor and fantastic irony, garnering just as many laughs as it does screams.

Rarely is the first entry in a horror series the worst, but that's definitely the case with "Annabelle." That's not to say that the first "Annabelle" movie is unwatchable, it's just very far from good, and indulges in cliche storytelling, predictable twists, and cheap scares.

This is a timeless classic. The perfect Halloween movie, a combination of minor scares, great laughs, and some killer costumes. Plus it has the most iconic three witches in all of Salem. I rewatch this multiple times every Halloween season and it only gets better.

Every little movement and facial expression had to be meticulously planned and executed for a wide variety of characters. The extraordinary payoff of that unique level of precision and dedication is part of what I think makes this movie a classic.

Critic Matt Hudson said it best, "'Bird Box' succeeds in being a solid thriller, but, really (and frustratingly) could have been much more."
