People seem to be confused. What is emo? (Mostly style)

1. Emos like to dye hair shades like black, pink, blue, red or bleached blonde

2. Emos hair are thin, flat and smoothed with lots of hair on the sides and back with long sidesweeped bangs

Sometimes covering one eye or both

3. Of course typical emo hairlights

4. Horn rimmed glasses

5. Wristbands

Most likely black

6. Studded belts

7. Jeans sometimes in bright colors and may even be close fitting

8. Short choppy layers of hair also common

9. Emo actually started as music

But people started to dress a certain way and called it fashion

10. Emo music is a Style of rock music characterized by expressive often confessional lyrics

11. Emos wear T-shirts (usually shirtsleeved) which often bear the names of emo bands

But too bad there isn't any emo Bands anymore and has been for a few years

12. Fun fact; It originated in the mid-1980s hardcore punk movement of Washington, D.C., where it was known as "emotional hardcore" or "emocore" and pioneered by bands such as Rites of Spring and Embrace.
