Through friends, research, and personal experiences, we were able to list down our top 8 recommended restaurants for University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) couples. We had a survey asking where UA&P couples go on dates, and they mostly answered Shangri-la Plaza, Megamall, Kapitolyo, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Greenbelt, Greenfield, and even Tagaytay. Couples, most of the time, find themselves unable to pick the right restaurant for lunch or have that long-awaited date after a hectic week in school. We have here 8 lovely destinations that will surely be worth your money and will definitely satisfy your cravings. Remember that a happy stomach means a happy girlfriend, but let us not forget that a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Feed each other, and maybe find that “forever”.

The restaurant serves authentic Japanese cuisine. It is for catch up sessions with friends, family, and loved ones while enjoying the cozy Japanese Zen ambiance. Perfect for couples who love sushi and Japanese rice bowls. We recommend the Spider Maki and of course the Katsudon bowl, a favorite in every Japanese restaurant.

7. Greenfield Weekend Market

Greenfield, Pasig

Greenfield Food Market is full of different kinds of cuisines like Filipino, Persian, American, Japanese, and a lot more new food innovations. Great for couples who are adventurous to try different kinds of food, would enjoy lying down and eating on designed plastic-like carpets called “banigs”, and especially the hungry ones. We recommend the “lechon” with rice from ManilaQ, and try the stalls where a lot line up for because it must be great!

Silantro is a “fil-mex” restaurant, relatively small, and always full of hungry customers. Its cuisine is Mexican with a Filipino twist, hence, the name “fil-mex”. Couples will enjoy the delicious food served by their friendly waiters. We recommend the “worth your money” beef nachos, which is priced at P180!!! Believe us when we say it is worth it because it is! A restaurant every customer would always want to go back to.

Mad Mark’s is famous for both its very delicious ice cream and mouthwatering steaks. Definitely worth that extra allowance you have folded in your wallets. Couples will enjoy sharing their big servings and great offers. We recommend Half Baked Madagascar for ice cream and their Classic T-bone for the steak.

Kimpura is an authentic Japanese restaurant where couples can choose to stay in private rooms, where they can sit on the floor like in Japan, or stay in the main area of the restaurant. Couples who love the Japanese cuisine will enjoy this restaurant because of the great food and wonderful ambiance. We recommend the Teppanyaki Combination Special - rib eye steak & mixed tempura (also comes with a free ice cream dessert).

This may have been in BGC for a long time now, but its quality and taste have not changed. The same great one originally enjoyed by the Americans. Healthy smoothies are their specialty, and they even offer other snacks like breads and pastries. Customers can choose if they want the vitamin or the protein boosts in their smoothies. We recommend you share as a couple in a 22oz cup of the “Very Berry” smoothie with vitamin boost. A healthy life is a happy life!

Couples who love the Chinese cuisine will enjoy this authentic Chinese restaurant where even the Chinese from mainland China enjoys eating. Servings may be small and pricey, but it is definitely worth it. Besides, great Chinese food is worth spending for anyway.
