You need glue, but you're too broke

Via giphy.com

There are many items in your kitchen that can be used as a glue replacement. Cooked rice and egg whites are an excellent adhesive for paper projects.

But if you're looking for a more legit glue or need a shit-ton for a huge poster project, here's a recipe I adapted from Instructables.

This recipe makes approximately 1 cup of glue.

1. You'll need 1/3 cup flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 1 cup water. (Optional ingredient is 1/2 teaspoon alum powder to preserve glue if not refrigerated)

2. Mix flour and sugar.

3. Gradually stir in water.

4. Cook over low heat. Stir for approximately 5 minutes or until pasty. Remove from heat. Stir in alum powder if you have it.

5. Pour in small container or in empy Sriracha bottle for brush-free application

Keep glue in a sealed container to preserve for several weeks without refrigeration.

6. Brush glue on paper projects. Happy crafting!
