I live in Marietta, GA, which is about a 20 minute freeway ride from Atlanta. Marietta is small (population 67,201) but VERY multicultural. We have lots of Africans, Brazilians, Pakistani's, and Asians. In fact all of the above live in my very building in this apartment complex. It’s very peaceful here, and quite close to the Chattahoochee River and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. My son, his wife, and my grandchildren live close by in NE Atlanta. Juxtaposed to the peacefulness here are JETS! It’s very exciting to see and hear them overhead! The fighter aircraft and transport aircraft come from Dobbins Air Reserve Base, and a Lockheed-Martin aircraft manufacturing plant, two miles from my home.
