Long hair is a common stereotype in defining women's beauty. But many women are bald — either by choice or circumstance. So, Ladylike decided to see what it would be like to go bald for an entire day:

The ladies were guided by Becky, who shaved her head after being diagnosed with alopecia.
And Jazzmyne, who wanted to explore her confidence and represent a different look for the younger generation.
Freddie and Chantel were about to experience what it felt like for the wind to kiss their scalps (kind of) for a day.
Chantel was actually growing her hair out, which was the complete opposite of putting on a bald cap for a day.
And Freddie had some experience with the short look four years ago when she did the big chop.
But to say the least, these girls were anxious about being bald for an entire day.
The women recognized that doing the experiment was a privilege because some women are bald without choosing to be…
…so they fully committed and looked great.

People in the office were floored by Chantel and Freddie’s new look.
Becky gave them three challenges for the day. The first one: Wear your favorite outfit.

Chantel added a little more arch to her eyeliner and felt all types of badass.
Freddie was trying to channel her inner Amber Rose and was struggling until...
...she put some cute-ass shades on. But she admitted she was disappointed because she felt like she needed the accessory to validate her beauty.
The second challenge was to believe that they were sexy with bald heads, and it was definitely tougher than Chantel and Freddie had expected.
And the third challenge: They had to go out in public and be bald and fierce.
And once their day was over and the wig caps were off, they tried to wrap their heads around how they were feeling.
They both realized that at the end of the day, they are attached to their hair — but it isn’t the only thing that defines them.
And no matter what kind of hairstyle they were rockin', they would forever slay. 💅
