1. Stonehenge

Located in Wiltshire, England

Constructed somewhere between 3000BC & 2000BC. Most likely as a burial ground as the remains of human bone have been discovered at the site.

2. The Leaning Tower Of Pisa

Located in Tuscany, Pisa, Italy

A freestanding bell tower, the tower’s tilt began when it was being built starting in 1173, due to the ground being too soft on one side to properly support the structure’s weight. The tilt increased in the decades before the structure was completed, and gradually increased until the structure was stabilized (and its tilt partially corrected) by restoration efforts between 1990 and 2001.

3. L’Anse aux Meadows

Located in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada

Discovered in 1960, L’Anse aux Meadows is considered the first sign of an early settlement by Norse or Viking travelers to North America outside of Greenland. Beating Columbus by over 400 years.

4. Great Barrier Reef

Located in Queensland, Australia

The Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Queensland in northeastern Australia, is the world’s largest coral reef system. It is considered the largest living thing on Earth, and is even visible from outer space. It is over 2,300km (over 1400miles) long and consists of thousands of reefs and 900 hundred islands.

5. The Great Pyramid at Giza

Located in Giza, Egypt

The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one that has largely remained intact. Egyptologists believe that the pyramid was built as a tomb for an Egyptian pharaoh named Khufu who lived from 2589–2566 BC. Taking more than 20 years to build, It was the tallest structure in the world for nearly 4000 years.

6. Barringer Meteor Crater

Located in Winslow, Arizona

Somewhere around 50,000 years ago, Arizonia was hit by a meteor nearly 50 meters across(about 150 feet). It left a giant imprint in the soil that is nearly 1,200 m (3,900 ft) in diameter, about 170 m deep (570 ft), and is encircled by a rim that rises to 45 m (148 ft).

7. Niagara Falls

Straddling the border between Canada and the US, it has the largest water flow rate of any falls in the world. At its peak, more than six million cubic feet (168,000 m3) of water falls over the crest line every minute and while not the tallest falls in the world at 167 ft (51 m), the Niagara Falls are very wide. The Canadian side measures about 2,600 feet (790 m) wide.
