5 Countries Israel Has Helped

1. Haiti

In 2010, Israel established the FIRST field hospital in Port-au-Prince after Haiti’s devastating earthquake.

2. The Philippines

Israel also established a field hospital in 2013 in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan. Here, a team of IDF doctors holds a newborn baby who was named Israel.

3. Greece

In 1999, an earthquake hit Athens, killing hundreds and leaving thousands injured. Israel sent search-and-rescue teams to help search for survivors.

4. Nigeria

This week, Israel announced it is sending experts to help look for over 200 schoolgirls who were kidnapped by the Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram.

IDF soldiers are currently saving Syrian lives and treating the wounded at a field hospital on the Israel-Syria border. Regardless of tense diplomatic relations between Israel and Syria, Israel is responding to the humanitarian crisis of its neighboring country.
