Netflix Just Released A Teaser Trailer For Its Adaptation Of "13 Reasons Why"

    The YA novel, written by Jay Asher, turns 10 this year.

    Netflix just released a teaser trailer and official air date for its new series, 13 Reasons Why, based on the novel by Jay Asher.

    The show is set to premiere March 31 and will air as a 13-episode TV series.

    The novel follows a boy named Clay who mysteriously receives a box of cassettes in the mail from a girl named Hannah, whose reasons for suicide remain a mystery.

    In the trailer we first see Hannah, who narrates her 13 reasons over the course of the tapes she mails Clay.

    We then get a glimpse of the thoughts of Hannah's classmates, some who perhaps feel guilty...

    ...and others who may be feeling a bit defensive.

    We then see multiple faces that Hannah may or may not have known with these chilling words:

    The trailer ends with Hannah's hard-hitting words spoken through Clay's cassette player.

    Executive producer, Selena Gomez, shared the teaser to her Instagram calling the series "a passion project I've been working on."
