Ross Symons is a full-time origami artist in Cape Town. What started as a side project – creating ever-more intricate origami pieces at his desk at work – eventually became a massively popular Instagram, White on Rice, which allowed him to turn his craft into full-time business.
Over the course of 2018, Ross challenged himself to create one miniature origami figure per day in order to perfect his skill at the important art of making ever-so-tiny, adorable animals out of colored paper.
