Gossip Girl was known for a lot of things back in the day, and realism was not one of them. Over the seasons, a lot of things happened that pushed the limit of believability, but that's why we loved the show.
Like the truly ridiculous plot involving Chuck, Nate, and Diana in Season 5.
Or the fact that these teenagers were unreasonably accomplished. Remember when Dan, in high school, had an article published in the New Yorker?
There were also smaller things that happened constantly, like the fact that none of the main characters were 21 and ordered cocktails at bars like it was no big deal.
