10. THE GROUP 5 E21 320 TURBO

The 4th Generation Group 5 E21 320 Turbo pictured here was campaigned by Team McLaren in the IMSA Camel GT series and piloted by the fabled David Hobbs. The less-than-one-ton chassis housed a 2.0-liter M12 making more than 650 horsepower, which rotated the ridiculously wide Goodyear slicks to unfathomable speeds.

9. TONY LIN’S E87 1-SERIES 5-DOOR HATCHBACK

With the world getting to enjoy either the 3 door or 5 door hatchback BMW, stateside guys and gals have to start wondering when will we get included in the hatchback fun. The VW GTI has a cult-like following, Ford has stepped up the recently redesigned Focus, and Honda always has had handle on the hatchback arena, but I sure hope we get the chance at one of the BMWs.

8. JOHAN’S TURBO E30 M3

The BMW E30 M3 is regarded by many as the best BMW ever made. It set standards still held today as to what a performance car should be a certain degree of rawness yet the tameness to be a perfect daily driver. Known to many as God's Chariot and a machine not to be tampered with, many believe it was perfect just the way it came from the factory. If you are one of those people who believes that, I suggest you close your computer right now and quietly leave the room.

7. MIKE BURROUGHS’S 1971 BMW E9

I hadn't been shooting for more than a minute when it happened. An older gentleman walking by asked the question. It wasn't long before we found ourselves discussing his 1978 BMW 733i. He tells me it's in perfect condition. He keeps it tucked away in the garage, just as he has every day since he purchased it new 34 years ago. The E9 brought him back through the decades, a special moment where paused to enjoy what the car, and his own, meant to him.

6. PATRICK BURNS’S ’72 BMW 2002

Patrick's story doesn't begin with this '72 Polaris Silver round-tail; it begins much, much earlier. Patrick grew up with his old man, known around town for being a car guy. Since he can remember, he's been part of an automotive family, spending afternoons in his father's detailing shop which often housed high-end P-cars and F-cars. But it only makes sense that if the car his mother drove while pregnant was a 5-speed 320is that Patrick would eventually become a BMW guy.

5. BMW E91 335i Touring in M3 skin..Ohh My

The various pictures that have hit the internet, have lead many to believe the car is on air ride. Despite popular belief, the E91 is on KW Variant 1 adjustable suspension which, together with traditional stainless steel exhaust finish off the original M3 look temporarily.

4. ALEX YOSHIOKA’S 1994 E36

Yet it's a rare instance that we look beyond the gorgeous car - in this case, a true jaw-dropper, instead to reflect upon character. It's easy to look on the bright side; to ignore the character flaws of a craftsman when looking at his creation. Be that as it may, when an individual's character compliments their car, it simply becomes that much better.

3. KACPER KRAJEWSKI’S 1999 BMW M COUPE

Kacper Krajewski's love affair is all too familiar; The E46 M3 that had sparked his love for the BMW brand fell to the wayside when the Z3 M Coupe caught his eye. Kacper left the M3, once the apple of his eye, to pursue the seductive curves of the lady in red.
