300 East

Is a family owned restaurant, who have been serving meals in Charlotte for 25 years. In a building that was built in the 1900s. What's even cooler, everything is scratch made.

It feels very homey here and that's not just because you're literally eating out of a house instead of a building. The dining area is a little small, so you feel like you're surrounded by people while enjoying your meal, which can be good or bad depending on the person. It does have an older look and feel (it was built in the 1900s though) instead of a new modern look.

When I went to 300 East, it was for Sunday brunch. And they were quite busy. I was kind of expecting them to be a little busy though considering I've never heard anyone talk about eating there unless it was for Sunday brunch. For my meal I got brioche french toast because I love french toast. It was topped off with powdered sugar and served with a side of bacon. I thought the french toast was amazing, but how can you really go wrong with french toast, fruit and bacon? That's an award winning combo every time!

Overall

Overall, I give 300 East a 8/10. I really enjoyed the meal, but I also feel like it's the same french toast I can get at Ihop or anywhere else, so it didn't really have a wow factor. I also took a point because of the dining area, I would like it to be updated a little, and made a little more modern. And I also think it could be a bit bigger.
