Meet "Hello Barbie," the newest addition to the Barbie family.
She looks just like any other Barbie, except, refreshingly, she's a bit more realistically proportioned.
But make no mistake. "Hello Barbie" is anything but just another fantastic piece of plastic.
Using WiFi and speech recognition technology, "Hello Barbie" can carry on a two-way dialogue and remember people's likes and dislikes.
A spokeswoman for Mattel offered a glimpse into what "Hello Barbie" can do at the Toy Fair.
Later in the conversation, "Hello Barbie" demonstrated her expert learning skills.
Mattel will constantly update Barbie's lexicon to include relevant pop culture data.

Some parents aren't exactly receiving "Hello Barbie" with open arms, though. Concerned by the doll's interactive features, they've started calling it "Surveillance Barbie."
"Hello Barbie" is expected to hit stores just in time for the holiday season this year, so look out, "Frozen" merchandise!
