1. You take a look at the books and realize what you’re in for
2. You can't contain your excitement so you tell everyone that you're about to read the series for the FIRST TIME
3. Everyone ends up telling you that they are SO JEALOUS and they begin reminiscing about their first time discovering Hogwarts
4. You open the first book and think, “I’m 24...how am I supposed to read a book about a bunch of 10 year olds?”
5. But soon find yourself devouring every single book in an unsettling amount of time, because you just can't stop
6. You then watch each movie and discover that the “New Dumbledore” actually sucks
7. Every movie makes you angrier & angrier as you cry about how much you miss the “Old Dumbledore”
8. You are now HP OBSESSED. You want to research everything and anything, but realize that you’re so far late in the game that posts don’t even bother writing “Spoiler Alert” anymore.
9. After each book & movie your friends are excited to spend hours talking about it and reliving the magic that is Harry Potter
10. And if anyone tries to talk to you about a book you haven’t read yet…
11. When you finally finish the series and you bask in the glory that you... yes YOU conquered 4,224 pages
12. But then the depression sets in and you develop symptoms of severe Hogwarts withdraw *le sigh*
In case you're wondering... YES. Harry Potter is still just as epic 17 years after the original release
