I Was Given A Huge Lemon And Made It My New Friend

When life gives you lemons...

The beginning of an adventure.

As a teacher I am often gifted many strange and wonderful things from strange and wonderful students. Today to my surprise I was given a giant lemon. I smiled and thanked the student who clearly thought very hard about what to bring me from her trip to Arizona.

"Hello, I am a lemon."

It didn't take long for me to make the Lemon my new best friend. I decided on the name "Jubilee" because it was bright and round.

"Slow down the speed limit is 35.."

Jubilee and I traveled a lot and the lemon quickly became a staple on my commute to school.

I decided to share my friendship with the world of Instragram and discovered other people also had lemon friends. The hashtag #lemonfriend brought me joy and comfort knowing all around the world other people had this opportunity.

A Home for Jubilee

In the end I found Jubilee the Lemon a home amongst the faceless fruit in my house. I feel as thought Jubilee is happy and free. #freethelemon
