Farsali Jelly Beam Highlighter Is Worth Every Penny

The new jelly highlighter from Farsali is perfect for contouring and highlighting.

If you haven't heard, jelly highlighter is having a major moment online and IRL. The fun, bouncy texture and Instagrammable results made it a buzz-worthy product I was dying to try.

After putting some of the top-selling ones to the test, I fell in love with Farsali Jelly Beam Illuminator.

Since they are so hot right now, there's a lot of great options out there. I have to admit though, nothing was even close to as impressive as Farsali.

The Almay Make Them Jelly Highlight is sparkly and colorful for a playful, non-natural approach to makeup. On the other hand, the H20+ Champagne Illuminator is far too subtle for radiant results. Farsali falls right in that sweet center spot for me.

There are a couple of things the differentiate Farsali from the other jelly highlighters I've tried on the market. The first is its pigment payoff.

After just one quick touch, a bright shade of gold comes off on your finger. Other formulas were either too thick or thin, so I'd have to break them up and scoop them out to get at any product to apply.

Surprisingly, it isn't too pigmented to be wearable. It's so lightweight that it easily blends into the skin for a soft glow that's got this stunning satin finish.

It definitely stands out, but in a surprisingly natural-looking way. When the light catches it just right, it's just got this heavenly high-beam glow.

The wet texture not only makes it super easy to apply, but also comfortable to wear.

No matter how well a product works, if it's uncomfortable I won't wear it. To me, it's not always worth it to wear layers of makeup that feel heavy and cakey, especially throughout an entire day. With this one though, I forgot I was even wearing it until I caught a glimpse of myself in the bathroom mirror.

The thing I love most about it is the instant cheekbones I get when I swipe it on.

In the age of the Kardashians, I am unfortunately not a contouring master. If I'm being totally honest, I'm barely able to contour at all. So whenever I discover a product that gives me sharp cheekbones without taking a ton of work or time, I can't help but rave about it.

It may be on the pricier end, but it's staying power isn't the only thing that lasts. Thanks to the strong pigment payoff, you really only need to use a tiny bit at a time. Therefore, the 0.5 oz. jar should be able to last you a good while.

That is unless you keep playing with it, like me.
