I recently read in a book and I discovered
That life always present us with choices
Christ also presented us with a choice since…
He died on the cross, it's not by force but He's waiting for us
To make our choices
Yes the good and the bad are in a conflict
Fighting in our hearts and our mind is the battlefield
Some say that the good side don't speak
Like they have tied and locked up their conscience
But I believe in the word of God and in the small still voices
Yes it may be fuzzy and not seen but it is concrete
It is a double edged sword
Piercing through the heart, dividing the bone and the flesh and flogs the soul
Yes! It's God's whip
Some are waiting for this foreign cosmic thundering noises
Calling upon them with atomic rushes tumbling
While they're standing in front of a bush that's still burning
Before they forget their burden, drop it and come clean.
Now I remember the story of Lot
Followed Abraham and shared in the glory of God
Followed totally and closely to a fault
Followed to the point that he had followers following along…
Like he never had a mind of his own
But when he did have a mind of his own, he had his eyes on the throne
Lifted his eyes and behold, the piles of gold
The lines of clothes, he smiled and chose
East of Sodom, he quickly sojourned
Pitched his tent far and alone
If he had known
No
If he had asked and listened
With a pure heart and reason
Just follow suit, no matter where the guide is leading
He wouldn't have landed in Sodom and Gomorrah
A place that is soon to be over
Global closed down
Crushed with a bulldozer
Total disposal
He would have known that
That he will lay with his daughters and get two lads
He would have known that
That he will end up in a cave, afraid and a slave to his fellow humans
He would have known that…
Or maybe he never would have known
But he never would go if he'd committed his ways to the Lord alone
You know the story of Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego?
They clung to the Lord and they never let Him go
So He never let them go either
Alone they stood and they chose to proof that the God that they know is with them in every season and any episode
They broke the rules, opposed the move, they boldly stood.
Like they were standing in the presence of Eskimos.
They stood tall, if our God don't save us, then we should burn,
Now that is it. Lord help me to chose right.
Let me not be right in my own eyes, thinking I've arrived in this good life
When I'm lost and I'm dieing in this cold night.
You said You will lead me keep me in and out of seasons
Believe it He's been living since the beginning
And He's still breathing,
And He's still bleeding
Now come to think of it
Jesus is still weeping for His own and the lost souls
Do they not know that they should just off load, every single load that has crushed their bones?
Do they not know that it was foretold, that love will grow cold and wars unfold?
Do they not know that I'm the way the truth the life, and no man comes to the Father except He's through the Christ?
He's given us the choice,
Choose life and live
Death and decay
But as for me and my family, we've chosen to serve the Lord because it pays
Truly serving God pays
