So It's Almost Father's Day.

And I'm taking the time to highlight some of history's best, (most of which are fictional)

1. Homer Jay Simpson

26 years of parenting 2 preteens and a baby can make a man rather wise. No matter what havoc his son releases upon their hometown, Homer deep down still loves all of his kids, and has inspired a generation of men.

2. Randy Marsh

I know, it might be odd to include such a thing, but Randy never let Stan give up on himself, (aside from Finger Bang). Even when he screws up Randy usually means well, for the best of his family, and their quiet little mountain town.

3. Burt Hummel.

Burt was probably one of the most positive characters the series had. He never let Kurt give up, on himself, or his dreams. He welcomed his stepson into the family with open arms. He always managed to put hope in his son's heart, even in the darkest of times.

4. The Late Dusty Rhodes

"I've wined and dined with Kings and Queens, and I've slept in alleys and dined on pork and beans." Sadly, as of late, the world has lost the American Dream, but he left an astounding impact on the world of professional wrestling world. He helped train greats on the mic such as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Even now, when he was helping run WWE's developmental branch, NXT. Yet, no impact he has could be greater than his boys, Cody and Dustin.

5. Bob Belcher

No matter what, Bob is always there for his kids.He loves them, even if they're all terrible.

6. Hank Hill

Only a father of one, but still a proud one none the less. Even if at times Bobby's choices seemed a bit "odd" or "strange", but Hank went down with one motto, "Family, God, Propane, Country"

7. Jay Pritchet

Father of 4. Grandfather of 4, and pretty darn proud of it.

8. Al Bundy

While we're on the subject of fictional fathers played by Ed O'Neil, let's not forget the barely scraping by father of two shoe salesman that warmed America's hearts in the late 80's all the way to 1997.

9. Red Foreman

As much as he ragged on his son for being a dumbass, deep down, we all know he cared.

10. Phil Dunphy

Oldest Daughter means well, middle daughter is super smart, son who always tries his best. What more could a man want out of life?

11. Professor Utonium

His girls were made in lab by mixing sugar, spice, and everything nice, and a dash of chemical X. However, that didn't make him love Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup any less.

12. Cleveland Brown

Even with a canceled spin off, which gave him 2 step children, Cleveland is still one of the strongest dads in the Fox lineup.

13. Stan Smith

Another prime example of Seth McFarland knowing how to write a good dad. Sure Stan has his slip ups, but it usually all works out.

14. Peter Griffin

And at the top of that heap is of course, the guy who usually mistreats one of his own. Sure, most of the time, at least when it comes to his daughter, Peter has made countless mistakes, but when it comes down to it, Meg is still one of his kids, and he loves her just the same.

15. Joshua Beard

Last, but especially not least, Joshua Steven Beard. There are so many ways I could describe this man. Self-published Author, playwright, soon-to-be-teacher, loving husband, movie enthusiast, wrestling fan, and a host of other things, but there is one thing above all else that I'm proud to call him, Dad.
