33 Underrated Problem-Solving Products You Should Own By Now

Once you try Amazon's latest buttery soft legging you're going to want to shout about it from the rooftops.

    1. A "flossing toothbrush" with two layers of bristles — regular firm bristles, and longer ones that are ten times thinner to clean deep in between your teeth and gums to mimic flossing. Reviewers love how deep the clean feels, and also how soft it is on sensitive teeth!

Mouthwatchers is a small business established by Dr. Ronald Plotka, DDS, that specializes in antimicrobial toothbrushes designed to get deeper cleans even patients with "great" dental hygiene might miss with traditional brush and floss routines.

I personally just bought this at the recommendation of BuzzFeeder Stephanie Hope, and love it just after the first few days of use! I use an electric toothbrush usually, but I feel like I'm getting a much more satisfying clean from these?? Especially because I tend to get yellow stains between my teeth no matter *how* much I floss, and these bristles seem to actually target that a lot more effectively.

Here's what BuzzFeeder Stephanie Hope has to say about them: "Growing up, I was the absolute worst at flossing and brushing my teeth. It was so bad, I ended up developing periodontitis, which is inflammation of the gums caused by a build up of bacteria. It causes your gums to separate and recede from your teeth. It's pretty bad. Well, now I obviously go to the dentist regularly, but still struggle to floss my teeth as often as I should. These toothbrushes are such a game changer for me! The bristles at the tip are sooo tiny, I can literally feel them cleaning between my teeth. My gums get red easily if I don't floss enough, and ever since I started using this twice a day, they're no longer red! They look so healthy, and I truly feel like I'm actually getting a good cleaning, compared to other manual toothbrushes. It's gentle enough for my sensitive gums, but gets in deep to prevent plaque. I'm obsessed!"

    2. A self-cleaning broom and dust pan set designed with pet owners in mind — the bristle cleaner installed in the dust pan makes it *super* easy to dislodge pet hair into the dust pan so you're not sweeping the floor with it all jammed up in there.

Promising review: "This is my new favorite broom and dustpan set. It is made with high quality strong plastic and metal. I have never seen a dustpan with the built in comb. It combs everything from the broom so I don’t have to use my hands for this! The dustpan and broom connect together nicely. The dustpan lies flat on ground for easy pick up also! Makes sweeping a little more enjoyable when you have a nice broom and dustpan to do the work. Assembly was so simple, I just twisted handles on. This is a strong set and I am ordering one for outside as well!" —THEONLY1

Not only are these little guys lightweight and extremely convenient, but they clean better than the heavy jugs or the pods that I never bought because I didn’t want worry about my kid ingesting one. They are like magic, throw one in the wash and it begins to dissolve and the only thing it leaves behind is environmentally safe cleansing. Now I can trust my seven-year-old to start the laundry because I’m not worrying about a massive overflow of detergent! Hello one less thing to do! I went to the website and you can get all kinds of scent boosters, dish soap, shampoo, also. Pretty cool little sheets!!" —Trish

Bonus — this is also dishwasher-safe!

Promising review: "I bought this on impulse and I am glad I did. It does a great job of holding multiple utensils and keeping them from touching all while not taking up a great deal of space. The lip around the edge works well to keep any drips from getting on my counter and when I am done cooking I just throw it in the dishwasher. My counters are cleaner and less cluttered while cooking (I have limited counter space) and cleanup is a breeze. Before this I had a cute ceramic owl spoon rest which I loved the look of but was always afraid of breaking it, and it only held one utensil. Since this one is silicone I don’t have to worry about it chipping or breaking. It is also easy to stick it in a drawer until you need it. I would definitely recommend this product, without hesitation, to anyone." —A. Jessup

Promising review: "New favorite scrub! Dudes, it's got real strawberry seeds. The fine sugar and the thick glycerin texture make this a very gentle scrub that leaves your skin moisturized. I'm sure those seeds don't really add to the exfoliating, but come on, proper seeds, it's too cute. I can see myself using this up fairly quickly, as it's the first thing I reach for when my skin feels dull or flaky. The smell is heavy and sweet, like strawberry syrup, but doesn't linger on skin after rinsing." —autumn

It's also a lot more cost-effective and environmentally friendly than wine wands or other competitors — a single bottle of this can be used to treat up to 55 glasses of wine, as opposed to wands that can only do a few glasses each before they get tossed. Drop It recommends 1–2 drops for each glass of white wine, 2–3 for a glass of red, and 7–9 if you're treating the whole bottle at once. Once it's in the glass, swirl lightly for 20 seconds, and you should be raring to go!

Promising review: "I can finally drink wine again after years of abstinence! I used to get the most awful headache on just one glass of wine, it was so bad I just stopped drinking wine altogether, then I discovered these magic drops! I've only had them a couple of weeks but I drank red and white wine totally headache-free! I even drank half a bottle of heavy red. These drops really are magic! I love that you get two bottles as well, one can stay in your purse and one at home. Brilliant!" —shelleymab

    18. A pair of super-comfy period-proof underwear designed to hold two tampons' worth of period blood that's *way* cheaper than the leading brands. Not only are these a great alternative to pads and tampons, they're also ideal for overnight protection (you can pair them with a pad if you have a heavy flow) and for people who are worried about ~leakage~ during sports or physical activities — I personally always wear period-proof undies when I go on runs on my period and it has been a MASSIVE godsend.

Also, unlike your regular undies, you don't have to scrub the blood out of these. They're designed so it rinses right out in the sink with soap and warm water, and can get tossed in the washer and dryer from there. You can read the rest of my review on Bambody period underwear for more deets!

Psst — reviewers love these undies, but suggest sizing up!

Promising review: "These are WONDERFUL!! They are super comfortable, soft, have a mild compression to them, breathable, great coverage, not bulky at all, and super absorbent!! You don’t get that metallic blood scent coming through either which I was super skeptical about. So the packaging states that they recommend using these as a backup to another period product like a cup, but I tested the hell out of these babies for my entire period as the only form of protection and left my cup in its drawer. I’m in my 30s. I’m not a super-heavy bleeder but I do have fairly heavy days. For the test I used one panty per day (24 hours) and never once had a leak, wetness feel, smell, felt uncomfortable, or had bulkiness. When I rinsed them out in the sink after the 24-hour test the amount of blood was astonishing. As you rinse it there’s definitely that old-blood kind of metallic smell. Then I just washed them on the gentle cycle and air dried them. Super easy, does take a long time to air dry though. I’ll likely buy more so that I can have daytime and nighttime sets." —Becky

Y'all, I am one of the world's worst sleepers and I swear by this HARD — particularly for when I wake up in the middle of the night and my brain is in "ah, let's think all the thoughts we've ever had at the SAME TIME" mode. I rub it on my temples and the insides of my wrists and take a big whiff from the canister and it's usually a lot easier for me to doze back off, when typically I might spend *hours* trying to conk back out. I've also found a little bit of this goes a long way — I've had this a few months and doubt I'll have to replace it for awhile!

    20. A dryer vent cleaning vacuum hose attachment so you can easily slllrlrrrppp up all the lint in your dryer before it becomes a safety hazard, and make sure your dryer is running as efficiently as possible to cut down on drying time.

A blue hose attachment on a regular vacuum
A garbage bag full of dryer vent lint

Promising review: "I don't usually write reviews but this thing is so worth it. We live in a new build, with a brand new GE washer and dryer. We've lived here less than a year, but the dryer wasn't drying as effectively as it did when we moved in. I got this to clean out the front vent area where the lint trap goes. I clean the lint trap between every load, but wow!!!! This hose got a lot of stuff out! There is a bit of a learning curve to figuring out how to maneuver it. I held the metal piece and the blue tube both in the same hand to push it down in there. Just take 10 minutes and try it out! My vacuum canister is full of lint!" —kh

Promising review: "Very useful for making many ice pops at once. It saves time compared to traditional ice pop molds where you make four to six at a time. It's fun to experiment with different flavors. I personally use them to make my own electrolyte pops. I haven't had any problems with leaks. Besides, just make sure you have the top zipped really well. The funnel is really nice and collapsible, and makes filling them easy. Definitely follow the fill line instructions because they are nearly bursting by the time they are done. I also find it's pretty easy to push the ice pop up when ready to eat. I use a permanent marker to write the flavor before filling. Would recommend." —Lorae

I've been known to just drain it out of a jar immediately, even if that means having to throw away the pickles or olives sooner. I randomly discovered these containers from some online article, and knew right away I would be getting one. I now have two but plan on buying more. They're just great. The only thing is, you need to be 100% sure you've got the lids on completely or you will have a disaster on your hands. Check and double check each time you are securing them. 27. A pack of Dr. Frederick's Original Better Blister Bandages, aka the blister whisperers — if you're someone who tends to get blisters when your feet sweat in the heat, you'll want to invest in these. Each pack comes with bandages to fit your heel, toe, and foot. People who wear heels also recommend these!

As a blister-prone human, I swear by these. A few years ago, before I invested in these running socks that prevent blisters, I got a blister on my big toe so unspeakably large and painful that I am cringing even TYPING about it, and no amount of rest from running seemed to heal it; it just kept coming back. I finally used one of these bandages, and the pain was virtually gone from the moment I put it on. It was also so airtight that nothing got inside, and it didn't loosen in the shower. You're supposed to take it off when it loses adhesive so it can come off gently without disturbing the blister if it hasn't fully healed yet. After using two of these in a row over the course of a week and a half, my blister was finally healed up enough that it stopped coming back

I live alone and I don't quite go through bread often enough before the last quarter section of the loaf starts to go stale. I was originally looking for something to put a loaf of bread in as a shell for my vacuum sealer, that would keep the bread from getting crushed from the pressure. This dispenser solved all of my problems. Thank you!" —DRMcQuaig

Promising review: "Unbeatable for the money. I needed a way to keep an eye on a new 4-month-old puppy who keeps digging holes in my yard. I didn't expect a lot for $39 but I was pleasantly surprised. The video is quick to get started and very clear, zoom is quick, and the night vision actually works. I haven't used any of the other features yet but these alone make this a great value! Far exceeding what I expected." —Rick Grisham

Promising review: "Love these! They have helped organize all my products underneath my kitchen sink. The Command hooks are strong and nothing has budged even with the weight of the spray bottles! Highly recommend." —Talayfor87

Promising review: "As an engineer, I am a sucker for smart designs. And this is so ingenious, I was blown away. At 2.4 lbs, it's probably the lightest way of getting a portable seat. And it opens up literally in two seconds. No extending metal legs or having to press on metal clips to collapse them, as with regular travel stools. And it feels pretty sturdy, not wobbly at all when I sat on it. The 10" seat is just the right size for being comfortable. And it collapses in a 10" x 2.5" cylinder (also literally in two seconds) that fits in the outside pocket of my carry-on. You do need both hands, but that's true of any folding chair. Perfect for my wife who cannot stand for long in security or immigration lines. And you need hardly any space to set it up (unlike folding chair/stools). So perfect to open up when standing in busy lines." —Serge
