After shot of BuzzFeed editor with long lashes
    Emma Lord/BuzzFeed

Hello, that is my face above, because I bought into the hype of all the 5-star reviews and now I will never look back!! Putting it on is like giving my eyelashes butterfly wings. It doesn't get clumpy, it stays put no matter how much you sweat, and you can apply it on very lightly if you don't want it to look so dramatic, or continue applying for longer lashes each time.

Promising review: "Saw this product on TikTok and thought it would be expensive looking at the results they got. I am beyond amazed with how my lashes look after about two coats. For around $5 you couldn’t ask for a better mascara! I will be buying this same one when I run out. I was not expecting to like it as much as I do! No complaints." —Kd

I actually just purchased another package of all black!" —Marcia

    Emma Lord/BuzzFeed, www.amazon.com

Our family recently unearthed this because beloved To All The Boys I've Loved Before author Jenny Han mentioned that it was her secret to delicious popcorn, and it may have just wrecked me for other at-home popcorn for the rest of my life. It genuinely tastes just as salty and buttery and savory as fresh movie theater popcorn. I inhaled it so fast that every single one of my organs lit up in mild alarm.

Promising review: "I am a person who will make myself sick eating buckets of popcorn (I have no self control). This has by far been my favorite 'TikTok made me buy' item. The only thing I don't like is the scent in it, I can almost taste it a bit. Promising review: "I first saw this book on TikTok and decided to look more into it. I purchased four total because I know some people holding onto things that are difficult to let go of. It’s a great way to look at things from a different perspective and truly hold yourself accountable to different things in your life. I love what it stands for and I look forward to when I burn mine after I’m done. Self love, self care, and meditation for a better state of mind tomorrow is always the goal. I definitely recommend it to those susceptible to change and the willingness to try things different. You’re so much more than what’s been done to you and someone’s inability to see your worth does not decrease your value. Choose you for a change." —Brent Helm

Promising review: "So, yes, TikTok made me buy this, but so far I really like it. It's obviously very adorable and offers a charming spot to keep my keys that works with my entryway. I'm really surprised by how strong the hold is for such a small object — I carry my car fob and a few keys and so far it's holding strong. I hung it with Command strips to avoid any potential damage to the wall and I will say make sure it's level as the hold is not so good on an angle (but that was from the original in-hand testing). Definitely recommend and for the price, I'm very tempted to get one for my at-work office." —D. Carter

A reviewer lifting a baby yoda
Both sides of the magnet in a flatlay

Promising review: "Loved the idea of this. My husband is a big Star Wars fan and it was perfect. He does the dishes mainly, and the kids and I are always asking 'Clean or dirty?' so we know if we should rinse our plates and put them in the dishwasher to help. Also got one for my oldest son who lives on his own. I like that it isn’t huge like a lot of the others I saw. I just wanted something that could flip and wasn’t giant. It stays on very well, but not so well that you have to pry it off. Totally worth the small amount I paid for it." —Jaime

    24. heatless curling rod headband that you can wrap your hair into before you go to bed at night, then wake up in the morning with big lustrous curls (and no heat damage from your frenemy the curling iron!).

Reviewer with the headband woven into their hair
    Reviewer with curly hair

Each set comes with a curling rod, two hair scrunchies, a claw hair clip, and two duckbill hair clips to set it in place. These are designed to work with all hair types, but work best if you roll them with damp hair!

Promising review: "Before purchasing, I’d seen a lot of reviews and tutorials on TikTok showing the results. My hair is thick, coarse, and naturally wavy, so I figured this might be a good alternative to rollers that are time-consuming to put in, difficult to sleep in, and ultimately not worth it. And MAN was I right to be hopeful. Wrap pieces of damp hair around it before bed, the tighter the wrap, the tighter the curl. Easy to sleep in since there’s nothing on the back of your head, and my curls are BOUNCY the next morning. My only complaint is that it doesn’t help give any top-volume, but nothing some teasing can’t fix. 10/10. I’ll never go back to a curling iron." —Mariah

Get it from Amazon for $8.49 (available in six colors).

    25. A Marshmallow Whip Maker, aka a TikTok beloved product that can turn a coin-sized amount of your favorite face cleanser into a cup full of light frothy foam.

Model pumping the device to make the foam
    Amazon

To use this, all you have to do is put a pearl-sized drop of your favorite cleanser at the bottom, fill with water up to the dotted line, and pump it until it creates foam. Not only does this help your cleanser last longer by giving it more suds and surface area to cover for a smaller portion, but the bubbly texture can help reduce friction on your face. Also...it's just a whole lot of fun??

Promising review: "This thing is the bomb. Does exactly what it advertises — makes a thick whipped cream/foam out of washes, making it economical as well as fun. It can 'soften' harsh washes to make the concoction gentler on skin. It's also great for mixing washes if you have two or more you'd like to combine for different effects. And of course, a little goes a long, long way with this puppy. For the price, it's a steal —if you're into this kind of thing. Definitely give it a try if you're not sure. It's a really cool device." —KnockKnockMe

Get it from Amazon for $8.

    26. An easy-to-use rice ball mold — all you have to do is put the rice in the mold and shake it! It's made with a matte material so it won't stick, and instead will form perfectly shaped rice balls to serve up.

A lot of folks use this for portioning out baked goods like cookies and cake balls, too!

Promising review: "Feeding sticky rice to an infant/toddler is a sticky mess, but no more with this little gadget!!! My little girl enjoys eating rice more because she doesn’t also have rice sticking everywhere on her hands. The small paddle that it comes with is actually really a nice size, too. I recommended this item to many of my friends with small kids." —reeree

    33. Plus a tin of cocktail sugar or salt for the rims of your at-home cocktails that come in so many inventive flavors you might just call the Food Network to get your own bartending show.

A whiskey glass with a sugar rim
A container of citrus petals rim sugar
    Emma Lord/BuzzFeed

I started putting this on my end-of-the-week whiskey drink (the pandemic made me go full Mad Men, who knew!!) and it is SO darn satisfying. I tried the citrus petals version, and it's got a light lemon, faint floral, and vaguely minty taste with its sweetness that just makes the whole experience a delight and a half. The container it comes in is actually quite wide, so what we did was pour lemon juice on the top half to prep the rim, and a bit of sugar in the bottom half to coat it. In other news, I am officially too fancy to exist.

Promising review: "Since COVID-19 I have become my own bartender. Taco Tuesdays and margaritas! The lime comes through so well with this salt. I use it for Bloody Marys as well. It is thick and chunky so it's a learning curve to get the right amount of salt on. Don't press down too hard if you don't like a lot of salt. I do like extra salt but my husband said it was a little much for him, so I have mastered just a light salt for him." —cobrajet427

Get it from Amazon for $9.48 (available in nine flavors).

Promising review: "Mystical Fire Colorant is amazing. For a really fun experience, get some of these for your next camping trip. As if a campfire needs improvement... but this stuff is really neat. I'd say the adults love it even more than the kids. We only used one packet and the colors were so good — seems like they lasted at least 20 minutes. There was even color left in the ashes the next day. We will never go camping again without several packs of Mystical Fire on hand." —TeNe

    Emma Lord/BuzzFeed

I recently started using one of these and WOWZA, it really helps you get extra mileage out of your shampoo. I have a whole lot of hair on my head so sometimes it's a struggle to feel like I've soaped up my whole scalp thoroughly, but this was a very effective way to spread out the suds and really get them to the roots. I was worried it might tangle in my hair, but it was totally fine on that front, too. I've noticed that my hair has been a little less greasy at the roots since I started using it a few weeks ago. And I'm echoing a ton of reviewers here when I say it just feels reeeeeally, really nice.

Promising review: "I’ve suffered from dry skin and a dry scalp ever since I turned 30. The only thing that helps me is exfoliating. I was initially concerned that the product would be too rough and damage my sensitive scalp or too soft and ineffective. However, this brush is perfect for me. It does not tangle my long hair, it is easy to use and just firm enough to get the job done. My scalp no longer itches and the icky buildup is gone. I can’t believe something so affordable has made such a difference in the health of my scalp. I’ve used expensive shampoos and conditioners to no end with barely a difference. I wish I discovered this product much sooner!" —AH

*Hamilton voice* "Look at my SON..."

Promising review: "Not only is this puzzle exciting for me as a Mando fan but also as a Star Wars fan! I couldn’t wait to get started on it! Once I opened it and started piecing together the "outer rim" 😂 I was DELIGHTED to find that the puzzle pieces were a great size, not too big and not too small! Once I started on filling it in, I was MORE excited to find that it was challenging without being maddening!! Total spent four hours straight puzzling with a few smoke breaks. All in all, a GREAT puzzle for one person, or a family!!!! Put on some Star Wars or Mando and you have yourself a heck of an evening in!!!! Recommended to all!" —Tiffany Davis

    38. A beginner's embroidery kit for adults, so you can have something soothing to do with your hands while you binge yet another Netflix series full of murder, murder, and a side of...well, murder. (At least now your stitching will be tighter than the main suspect's alibi!)

Each kit comes with a simple design, a cotton cloth, a bamboo embroidery hoop, a little scissor, colored threads, embroidery needles, and instructions, so you should be raring to go when it arrives!

Promising review: "I’ve never done anything like this before...but I like to try new things, and I’ve just recently moved and wanted to decorate my house with some handmade decor. This kit is a great value for the price! It came with the hoop, more than enough thread, and two needles! The printed pattern is very clear and easy to follow, and the little sheet of instructions on what stitch to use and how to do it is clear enough (and anything I don’t understand I just watch a tutorial on YouTube). I’m about three hours into the project already and I didn’t want to put it down last night. I was up until 2 a.m. stitching away! It’s fun, simple and it’s going to look very cute next to my collection of cacti!! Thank you for a great quality product, and for allowing me to add another hobby to my ever growing stack!" —Abby

    39. A teensy tissue box home with "smoke" coming out of its chimney that's so darn precious you'll want one for every room.

Here's what BuzzFeeder Elizabeth Lilly has to say about it: "I, an adult woman, cannot remember the last time I bought a box of tissues for my home (though I have several purse packs?!). It may have been when I most recently had a sinus infection, which I guess was two-plus years ago. But now that I’m playing house as a grown-ass person in an apartment to myself, I’m trying to be *responsible*. So obviously buying this whimsical tissue box cover we’ve featured in a million BuzzFeed shopping posts is peak adulting. Perhaps the reason I’ve been so bad at keeping around a box of tissues is because tissues just look...kind of ugly out in the open. But not with this lil’ cover! Now it’s a ~design element~ that I’ll hopefully remember to keep full. For now, it’s filled with a square box of tissues I unearthed from my old apartment’s closet while packing; it's presently neatly housed inside the tissue box cover, providing the 'smoke' for the tiny chimney. The only downside to committing to this box is that I'll have to buy square-shaped tissue boxes only now. But I can live with that. And with my not-snotty nose."
