These Leaked "Scandal" Photos May Have Just Revealed A Massive Spoiler

The Apr. 16 episode of Scandal, "I'm Just a Bill," ended with a dramatic twist. (Seriously, don't keep reading if you don't want to be spoiled.)

Nicole Wilder / ABC

After spending years risking his life for Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington), Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) finally met a threat he couldn't overcome. He had been working with Olivia, Huck (Guillermo Díaz), Quinn (Katie Lowes), and David (Joshua Malina) to bring down B613 and Rowan (Joe Morton). But at the end of this week's episode, Rowan seemed to finally remove Jake from the equation, at the hand of his loyal B613 righthand man Russell (Brian White) — who was presumed to just be a nice guy dating Olivia until he pulled a knife on Jake. The episode ended with Russell stabbing Jake over and over.

The promo for next week's episode hints that Jake has died, with someone screaming over his bloody body and Russell confirming to Rowan that he "has been eliminated."

And many Scandal fans were NOT happy about a Jake-less Washington D.C.

Nooooo not Jake Ballard. 😭😭😭😭😭 #scandal

Jake Ballard dying on Scandal is worse than Zayn leaving one direction #ScandaI

Some were so upset, they were threatening to stop watching the show.

ok listennn.. If Jake Ballard is killed off of Scandal I WONT WATCH IT ANYMORE

What even is Scandal without Jake Ballard? Bye.

Even Foley took to Twitter to seemingly say goodbye to Jake's fans.

So, there it is. Thank you Twitter for tonight and all of the Thursday nights. It's such an honor. #Scandal

And Malina tweeted that it had "been a real pleasure" working with Foley, who joined Scandal in Season 2.

It has been a real pleasure working with @scottkfoley. #Scandal

But in promo images leaked online, it looks like Jake is ALIVE!

Nicole Wilder / ABC

The leaked images appear to be from the April 30 episode, titled "A Few Good Women," based on an episode description associated with the photos...

The description in the leaked photos' metadata (which matches the official one) reads as follows: "Vice President Ross continues to defy the Grant administration when she hires Olivia Pope to defend a woman in the Navy. Meanwhile, Quinn and Huck must do what they do best to get answers about B613 and Mellie's campaign for Senate continues to be a struggle."

Which, if true, means Jake would not only be alive, but he'd be alive for at least TWO MORE EPISODES!

ABC did not immediately respond to BuzzFeed News' multiple requests for confirmation about the photos and for comment on Foley's appearance in upcoming episodes. Foley's representative had no comment when reached.

Scandal airs on ABC on Thursdays at 9 p.m.
