Finals Week As Told By "Hamilton"

Just stay alive: that would be enough.

At the beginning of the week, you're ambitious and determined that you'll study hard and it will all pay off.

You've been doing fairly well so far. You totally got this.

You pack up all your study materials and hit the library ready to...

You crack open those hundreds of dollars worth of textbooks you haven't looked at all semester.

    You read these textbooks frantically.

Your note-taking is even more frantic.

Reality is starting to sink in, and you're not feeling quite as confident as you were in the beginning.

Because there is just SO MUCH you have to do.

And none of your partners for your group project are helping at all.

And you end up doing the vast majority of the work.

When you're comprehending exactly 0% of what you're studying.

Your friends try to convince you to go out with them, but you don't have time.

So you're stuck inside studying while all your friends are out having fun.

When your parents ask you how school is going and you tell them it's great even through you're dying inside.

When you feel like you're never going to make anything of yourself.

So you consider stapling a $20 to your exam.

Or giving up completely and just trying to find a wealthy spouse to provide for you instead.

When it's time to actually take your test and you're exhausted.

You and your squad walk in together, hoping for the best (but not expecting it.)

One look at the test and you forget absolutely everything.

So you just start writing some random shit down.

And you actually start to feel bad that your professor has to grade it.

You finally turn it in and wait for your professor to put your grade in.

But you try to remember that your grades don't define you, and you gave it your best, which is what really matters.

And you celebrate, because you survived, and now you're on break!
