Sarah Hyland may be best known for her role as Haley in Modern Family, but over the last decade she's also been incredibly honest about her health issues, which include endometriosis and a chronic kidney condition that led her to receiving two kidney transplants over the last six years.
In fact, in December last year, Sarah spoke at length about the various surgeries she's endured throughout her life, and revealed that she contemplated suicide when her first kidney transplant failed.
Well, last weekend Sarah attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party and I think you'll agree, she looked stunning.
Sarah went on to share two photos of herself at the event on Instagram, alongside a self-deprecating caption about wearing "two pairs of Spanx" underneath her dress.
The caption immediately sparked debate, with many people accusing Sarah of "toxic body-shaming."
However, over on Twitter, someone pointed out that Sarah may well have been wearing the Spanx in a bid to hide the bulge around her stomach caused by her kidney transplants.
And it turns out, this person was right.
Then, in response to a now-deleted tweet, Sarah also revealed that she will be taking steroids "for life."
Sarah went on to reply to another tweet in which she detailed the realities of taking the steroids.
And people quickly swarmed Sarah's tweet with messages of love and support.
