Which Movies Are Actually Really Problematic?

Which moments really haven't stood the test of time?

There are fewer things better in life than kicking back and relaxing with a great movie. However, sometimes mid-way through you'll stumble across something really problematic that hasn't stood the test of time.

Perhaps it's only something you've noticed since rewatching a movie from years ago. Like the fact that amid the Christmassy loveliness, there are large chunks of sexism, body-shaming and heteronormativity in Love Actually.

Universal Pictures

Or it could be a character flaw that's annoyed you for a while – like the fact that Andy's boyfriend in The Devil Wears Prada is a complete asshole.

20th Century Fox

It's not always limited to a single plot or character, though. Pretty much the entirety of Sex and the City 2 is problematic AF.

New Line Cinema

And classics, like Gone With The Wind, aren't exempt either.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

This movie manages to include racism, sexism and sexual assault.

So what are the moments, plotpoints, characters or entire movies that you find problematic as hell? Tell us in the dropbox below, and your submission could be featured in a future BuzzFeed Community post or video!
