Kim Kardashian Just Shut Down Every Criticism Of Her Nude Selfies

    These comments are goddamn perfect.

Kim Kardashian is undeniably the selfie queen, but there was one photo of hers that sent the entire world into meltdown earlier this year.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was this naked selfie.

It was fair to say that people lost their damn minds – and numerous celebrities decided to get involved, criticising Kim for her decision to share the image, with slightly confused "feminist" messages.

But now Kim has spoken out about the furore surrounding the image – and her comments are pretty perfect.

Speaking on the podcast Recode Decode, Kim began by saying that she was "baffled" by the attention surrounding the photo.

She said: "I truly was baffled when people still cared. They have seen me naked 500 times! The censor bar literally was probably more covered than a bikini. I could not grasp how people were so outraged. Some people were outraged because I'm a mom, but others were more positive."

She then said her decision to post nude selfies isn't a feminist statement imploring other women to do the same – in fact, it's the opposite: Women should be free to do whatever they personally feel comfortable with.

"My personality has never been, 'I'm such a feminist and follow me and be naked!'" she said. "If you are conservative and that's how you are comfortable, more power to you. I respect you. You don't have to do what I do or look at what I do."

But perhaps the most interesting part is that Kim explained she posts these kind of photos because she's feeling confident and she wants to – and that she's not seeking anyone's approval by doing so.

"I'm not looking to provoke a reaction," she said. "I'll post what I'm comfortable with. Some days I'm confident, some days I'm not. I'll send it to my husband, if he's into it and thinks it looks good – that's the only reaction I care about. But if I take the photo and I like it, I'll post it."

    Keep slaying, Kim.
