You'll probably be aware of the most perfect union of the '00s, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, because no other celebrity couple has come close to comparing since.
However, since the split in 2002, things have turned pretty sour between them. Justin in particular has a long and complex history of referencing Britney in songs, videos, and interviews – even 14 years down the line.
However, it looks like things MIGHT JUST BE TAKING A TURN FOR THE BETTER. At fucking last.
During a recent interview, Britney was asked which other artists she would like to collaborate with. And her answer was surprising to say the least.
She said:
Aerosmith seems really good and bright. He's a genius I think. He's very rock and roll. He sings from his soul. Gwen Stefani, I think she's great. Justin Timberlake is very good.
Wait, let's hear that again.
But now something even more unbelievable has happened. Justin has responded. Positively.
When he was told by E! that Britney had said she wanted to collaborate with him, he looked visibly shocked – and, genuinely thrilled.
And seemed very keen to make the collaboration happen.
Like, really keen.
He then explained that being dad to 17-month-old Silas meant he missed "most headline news", and apologised for "not being in the know".
