In case you've been in some happy, internet-free hole for the past few hours, you'll probably be aware of the complete shitstorm of drama between Taylor Swift, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian.
Kanye West wrote a song, "Famous", that contains the lyric: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? / I made that bitch famous." He said Taylor had approved the line prior to the song's release. However, Taylor denied all knowledge of the song and called it "misogynistic".
In a GQ interview last month, however, Kim Kardashian defended Kanye – her husband – and said Taylor did know about the lyrics, and that he had footage of the phone call in which she gave her approval. Taylor denied this too and requested that Kim and Kanye "leave her alone". On this week's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the whole debacle was addressed, and after the show aired Kim posted the footage of the phone call to Snapchat.
After the footage was posted, Taylor took to Twitter to give her side of the story.
That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet.
However, people have noticed a couple of things about the note that suggest it was actually written a while ago, and saved in the event of Kimye ~exposing~ Taylor.
Ordinarily, when you open up a new note, there is the option to go "back".
However, at the top of Taylor's note it says "search".
Which means that the note was written a while ago, and then specific wording was searched in order to find it again.
And if you look very closely, you'll see some faded words at the top of the note as well – this is what happens when you've searched a specific word or sentence. And the faded words appear to read: "Because it doesn't exist."
So people think it COULD mean that she wrote a note saying that the video "doesn't exist" after Kim's GQ interview in which she said that there was a video of the phone call. And then searched for that term, re-edited the comment before posting it in response to the leak of the video.
But, y'know, there could be a very innocent explanation as well.
Taylor probably wrote the note, saved it and then edited it after she read it back. stop being extra and spreading fake drama for RTs.
