If you spend any time on the internet, you'll probably know that for almost three years, Selena Gomez has been the most-followed woman on Instagram.
However, Selena's reign is now over, because Ariana Grande has just overtaken her to become the most-followed woman on the platform.
At the time of publishing, Ariana has 146,353,946 followers, while Selena has 146,294,950.
Interestingly though, Ariana and Selena only have two photos in the top 20 most-liked Instagram posts of all time. This photo, shared by Selena, has 13.9 million likes, making it the fourth most popular on the platform.
Meanwhile, this photo of Mac Miller, shared by Ariana after his death last year, has amassed 12.8 million likes, making it the seventh most popular on the platform.
However, the average number of likes on Ariana's posts have been steadily increasing since the beginning of the Thank U, Next era so really it was only a matter of time before this was reflected in her follower count.
Meanwhile, Selena revealed back in September that she was "taking a social media break" and didn't return to Instagram until January. Since then, she's only posted five times in comparison with Ariana's 137.
