    At Purdue University, one professor has devoted his career to help a small village in Thailand. Baan Tawai is a woodcarver’s village in northern Thailand. This small village has experienced economic hardships because of a dying interest in the woodcarving art form. Professor Chad Allred, of Krannert School of Management, is actively involved in the Baan Tawai Project. During each semester, his students help to develop and further the project.
