If you frequent Twitter, you'll have heard that owner Elon Musk is ditching the bird icon (farewell my beloved) as he rebrands the social media platform as "X".

Elon bought Twitter last October, and since his £33.6 billion purchase, it's been reported that the app has lost "almost half of its advertising revenue." Tom Morton, global chief strategy officer at ad agency R/GA, has commented that, "Twitter's changing name and logo has nothing to do with user, advertiser, or market issues. It's a symbol that Twitter is Elon Musk's personal property."

This switch-up has led to people wondering what we call "tweets" now... And Elon himself confirmed they'll be called "X's".
