A Cappella

    As GQ editor Mickey Rapkin publishes a book about collegiate a cappella groups, the media is going gaga over the ever-growing phenomenon of vocal-only choruses that some are claiming to be hovering on the verge of "going mainstream."

    As a former member of NYU's own APC Rhythm, I can say with plenty of knowing self-disgust that "Jack and Diane" can, in fact, sound better without instruments.
