With all the current COVID travel restrictions, there aren't many options when it comes to "getting away." You can drive around in circles or, and probably a little more fun, go out and commune with nature — aka camping.

So one of our very own BuzzFeeders decided to explore the great outdoors — and, since they were going anyway, used it as an opportunity to test some really awesome pieces of camping equipment.

You can check out the video here — but just a warning, it may make you forget about your debilitating fear of bugs and have you heading to your local campsite.

Here are eight of the coolest products that helped them sit (literally in some cases) comfortably in the great outdoors:

    1. A Selk'bag Lite 6G Wearable Sleeping Bag, a super cozy indoor/outdoor sleeping bag that lets you stay warm even after you leave your tent. It has removable booties, ultra-warm synthetic filling insulation with a water repellent shield coating, an insulated hood, and it's machine-washable.

    BuzzFeed / Via youtube.com, Amazon

Promising review: "Being cold in an old house, I used to wear five layers for bed and a thermal blanket, plus the portable oil heater. I bought this to be worn at home. With the feet attached, it keeps me warm — I only wear light layers underneath. I am size small normally but I got the medium and it's a bit big but I just fold the sleeve up if I have to. This product, really saved me from the coldness this winter." —Elaine

Get it from Amazon for $99.99 (available in sizes S-XL and in three colors).

    2. A TrailKeg Half Gallon Stainless-Steel Beer Growler — yes you can have beer on tap while you're in the middle of nowhere. Do you think Pooh Bear would have liked honey so much if he just had a beer growler accessible to him?

    Amazon, BuzzFeed / Via youtube.com

It has a double-walled vacuum insulated design (which can keep your beer cold and carbonated for up to 24 hours and other beverages piping hot for up to 12 hours), a stainless-steel chrome tap for easy pouring, and a dual-stage CO2 regulator which provides consistent pressure. Plus the tap and regulator can be removed so it's easier to lug around. It can be used for home brews, nitro coffee, kombucha, and even cocktails. Just fill it up, attach the tap and regulator and pour! Plus it comes with two of the CO2 cartridges and a one-year warranty on all the products and parts.

Promising review: "Did a lot of research on portable kegs and this is the best one on the market. First off, it uses a double-wall vacuum insulated bottle. Everyone else uses a single wall non-insulated growler. This keeps your beer colder longer. Another win is that you can use Yeti or RTIC brand bottles. I can switch between a gallon and 64-ounce depending on the occasion. Everything is made of metal (except the tap handle, which can be changed to your favorite tap handle if you so choose) so nothing to worry about breaking. A wide mouth makes it easy to clean and literally every part on the growler can be replaced for maintenance. Other accessories can be found on their website — like a gas adapter if you want to tap into your existing gas system (saves money on disposable CO2 cartridges). Extra lids are also available if you have more than one growler. It's also excellent for making nitro coffee and keeps it cold all day long. Coffee all day and beer at night!" —Raymond Vazquez

Get it from Amazon for $149.99.

    3. A Chillbo Shwaggins Inflatable Couch designed to let you inflate it without the need of a pump — plus it deflates pretty easily into an easy-to-carry compact fit.

    Amazon, BuzzFeed / Via youtube.com

Promising review: "Best purchase I have made. I'm in love with my Chillbo Baggins. It comes with a matching bag to hold. So easy to set up and instructions are simple. I love the durability and quality. I used it at the pool and it was great! Then my neighbor had a backyard bbq and I brought it with me to lounge on the lawn and everyone loved it. If you don't have one already I highly recommend you get one." —Maribel Jimenez

Get it from Amazon for $39.68 (available in 10 colors).

    4. A Wacaco Nanopresso Portable Espresso Maker, a small but effective little coffee maker that requires no battery or electricity — it works by you shaking it! Plus every component is easily separated for deep cleaning.

    Amazon, BuzzFeed / Via youtube.com

Promising review: "Took this little guy out for a 4th of July weekend camping trip. This is one of the best camping purchases I've made and 100% recommend. The espresso pull is perfectly rich and creamy, and the machine is so easy to use. We did buy the barista kit because the standard just comes with a single shot porta-filter...who wants just one shot? Buy the kit, make yourself a double shot of espresso on those beautiful mornings in the wilderness you will be thankful." —Kindle Customer

Get it from Amazon for $64+ (available in two colors).

    5. A reusable and easy to use Radiate Portable Campfire designed to burn for three to five hours — it also has no embers!

    BuzzFeed / Via youtube.com, Amazon

Promising review: "Bought two of these to try out on a weekend trip up to Lake Hume in Sequoia National Forest. These worked amazingly well. Used only half of one the first night the rest the next morning. Used the next one for the second night and before it was completely out toasted marshmallows to perfection. Watched the vid on how to stop the fire by placing the lid back on and worked every time. This is a must-have for me on all my trips from now on." —Mgonz

Get it from Amazon for $27.99+ (available in standard and eucalyptus scent).

    6. A BioLite Campstove with 2 USB charging hookups, which literally lets you turn fire into electricity. It's capable of generating 3 watts of usable electricity and then stores it in an internal 2600 mAh battery which works as a power bank for USB charging. It also has a Smart LED Dashboard which gives you real-time feedback on fire strength, power output, and fan speed settings. Plus it can boil a liter of water in 4.5 minutes.

    Amazon, BuzzFeed / Via youtube.com

Promising review: "Holy crap! When this thing goes, it creates a tornado of fire! Boiled two cups of water in four minutes. However, it DOES take a few minutes to really get going. Using Biolite pellets in addition to wood made a big difference in flame output. The stove is very well designed and built. I would not use it as a primary camp-stove however, as it is useless in the rain. It would be a good stove for an additional camper to take on a group trip, particularly for the charging feature." —The Barman

Get it from Amazon for $149.95+ (available in two styles).

    7. A VSSL Compact Adventure First Aid Kit and Camp Supplies Compact Adventure Tools Kit that'll have you fully stocked with nearly everything you'd need on a camping trip.

    BuzzFeed / Via youtube.com

The first aid kit comes with an airtight, waterproof container that doubles as an LED light, antiseptic wipes, medical gloves, thermometer, bandages, 3M Steri-Strips, hemostatic agent, tweezers, ointment, tablets, emergency whistle, tape/gauze, and blister protection.

The camp supplies kit comes with a Canadian beeswax candle, a mini first aid kit (which includes six bandages, 10 Steri-Strips, two antiseptic wipes, an expandable bamboo cloth, and two safety pins), a water purification kit (which includes 10 water purifying Aquatabs, and a 1-liter Whirl-Pack water bag)m a firestarter kit (which includes five Tinder Quik fire starters and 10 weatherproof matches), a fishing kit (which includes a spoon spinner, j-hooks, split shot, and 35 ft of line), a wire saw with 60 lbs of working strength, a misc. gear kit (which includes a whistle, two gear ties, a mini sewing kit, and P38 can opener), and some multi-purpose tape.

Promising review: "I love all of VSSL's products, but their camp supplies really are the most versatile and take care of you when you're in a pinch (e.g. when I forget matches on our weekend camping trip or when the battery died on my headlamp). Super durable and well-designed, can't recommend it enough." —DM

Get the from Amazon: first aid kit for $125 and the camp supplies for $129 (available in two colors)

    8. A durable dual door Burton x Big Agnes Blacktail 2 Tent that'll make getting out in the morning (or middle of the night if nature really calls) a little less awkward since you won't have to be climbing over anyone.

    BuzzFeed / Via youtube.com, Evo
