A Magazine Tried To Share Lena Dunham's "Diet Tips" And She Shut Them The Hell Down

"It's diametrically opposed to everything I've fought my whole career for and it's not a compliment to me because it's not an achievement."

Lena Dunham has always been incredibly vocal about loving her body, from proudly showing off her cellulite on the cover of Glamour to frankly discussing the nudity on her show Girls.

She's also been open about using exercise as a means to help with her endometriosis, and recently spoke out against the media's obsession with her weight loss.

In fact, Lena has suffered from complications from her endometriosis as recently as last week, when she was hospitalised after leaving the Met Gala early.

She shared a selfie from the hospital on her Instagram, and thanked fans for their concern.

So it's not surprising that, when a tabloid magazine published a cover story advertising Lena's "slimdown diet tips", she was a little pissed off.

And, of course, she shut that shit down in the best possible way: with a few ~slimdown diet tips~ of her own.

"I don't want to be on this cover cuz it's diametrically opposed to everything I've fought my whole career for," she wrote, "and it's not a compliment to me because it's not an achievement."

But the kicker is definitely the last line: "Star indicates a pre-existing condition."

    Well played, Lena. 👏👏👏
