1. Before We Go (2014)

2. The Decoy Bride (2011)

Watch on: Netflix US
"It stars David Tennant as James Arber, an author who is engaged to an extremely famous actress (Alice Eve). The couple is trying to have a private wedding, but can't escape the paparazzi. Their solution is to go to the tiny island of Hegg in Scotland which is the setting of his famous book. Only he's never actually been there before, and the locals aren't as enamoured of his book as his fiancée is. It's the cutest rom-com, and my husband actually likes watching it with me." – Cate Flanagan, Facebook
3. Our Lovers (2016)

Watch on: Netflix Worldwide
"It's in Spanish, but has English subtitles. I watched it two nights in a row because it's so sweet!" – Montgomery Marie, Facebook
4. For a Good Time, Call... (2012)

Watch on: Netflix US
"It was so unexpectedly funny! While there are definitely dating ups and downs, it's almost like a romantic comedy about best friends. They start out as roommates hating each other and become business owners and BFFs along the way." – yesnokatyso
5. The 10 Year Plan (2014)

Watch on: Netflix Worldwide
"It's about two gay friends who make a pact at age 25 to become a couple if they haven't found anyone by 35. Ten years later, they're still best friends, but they may or may not have feelings for each other..." – Mary Grace Buckley, Facebook
6. The DUFF (2015)

Watch on: Netflix UK, France, India, and more
"It's a pretty smart and funny film. Girl likes crush, girl employs the help of her neighbour, who was once her BFF as kids, to help her become attractive, girl realises crush is a vapid tool, girl then realises it's the neighbour who had her heart all along." – Tammy Taitt, Facebook
7. Someone Like You (2001)

Watch on: Netflix US and France

8. Last Holiday (2006)

Watch on: Netflix UK and more
"It's cheesy as heck, but I love me some Last Holiday. Queen Latifah treating herself against the magical background of Karlovy Vary makes it one of those perfect Sunday afternoon films." – Maria Kanno, Facebook
9. Beauty and the Briefcase (2010)

Watch on: Netflix US, Italy, and more
"It's about a girl who goes undercover to write an article for Cosmo about finding love in the business world using a list of criteria for her 'magic man'. And it stars Hilary Duff – need I say more?" – Kara Farley, Facebook
10. Man Up (2015)

Watch on: Netflix US and Canada
"Lake Bell plays a brilliant British writer whose life is a mess and Simon Pegg plays a jaded divorcee on a mistaken-identity date. This movie does all of the great rom-com cliches SO well while keeping its leads weirder than normal. Cannot recommend highly enough." – emilye410147352
11. I Hate Valentine's Day (2009)

12. Better Off Single (2016)

Watch on: Netflix UK, Canada, Australia, and more

13. 4th Man Out (2015)

Watch on: Netflix Japan
"It's about a young guy in a town in upstate New York who comes out on his birthday, and then his three straight friends do their best to get him a boyfriend. It's a great watch, and defies typical LGBT+ stereotypes." – Mary Grace Buckley, Facebook
14. What to Expect When You're Expecting (2012)

15. Drinking Buddies (2013)

Watch on: Netflix Worldwide

16. The Other Sister (1999)

Watch on: Netflix US
"It's adorable, sweet, and funny, but its comedy is never at the expense of its leading couple, Carla and Dan, who are both mentally disabled. It is one of my all-time favourite love stories and a beautiful coming-of-age story." – ashleyprice
18. After the Ball (2015)

Watch on: Netflix US and UK
"I discovered it at 2am when I couldn't sleep – I thought it would be a stupid tween movie, but it turned out to be AMAZING. The love interest is in the background compared to a fight for justice that involves She's the Man-esque cross-dressing." – Josie
