Kylie Jenner Said It "Makes Her Sad" To Hide Her Personality On Social Media

"When people used to say mean things about what I love the most about myself, it would hurt me more than almost playing a character."

There probably isn't one person reading this sentence that ~hasn't~ heard of Kylie Jenner.

The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings has been a permanent fixture in the world of celebrity since first appearing on KUWTK when she was nine years old, and she's only become more and more famous ever since.

But in a new video with James Charles, Kylie opened up a little bit about the negative side of her fame, admitting she started hiding elements of her personality as her following increased.

In case you missed it, Kylie recently accidentally created a TikTok trend after the KUWTK cameras caught her singing about... getting wasted.

When James asked Kylie about the meme and said it seemed like people were surprised by her sense of humour, Kylie admitted she used to show more of her "true personality" years ago on Vine.

"As I got bigger and bigger, I just realised..." Kylie explained. "When people used to say mean things about how I really am, my personality, and what I love the most about myself, it would hurt me more than almost playing a character and not showing people everything."

"I just started doing a little less, which is sad," she went on. "It makes me sad."

"I want to start doing more," Kylie said, acknowledging that she shows more of her personality on TikTok and her YouTube channel these days.
