Kendall Jenner Finally Addressed The Pepsi Controversy On "Keeping Up With The Kardashians"

"I just felt so fucking stupid."

You probably remember that, back in April, Kendall Jenner caused controversy by starring in an ill-advised ad for Pepsi.

The ad was pulled almost immediately, but not before it had caused uproar on social media, with people calling for Kendall to publicly apologise.

can y'all believe the nerve of kendall jenner for completely sweeping the ugly pepsi ad under the rug & not even attempting at an apology

Back in August, Kendall's sister Kim even tried to explain why she hadn't apologised:

We're not perfect, but you see these things in the media, like Kendall, where I see her at home crying, but in the media she looks another way because she's not addressing it. I'm just like, "This is wrong. You need to speak up." She was like, "I don't ever want to show that footage of me crying." She was trying to not make excuses or be dramatic, but that was what she was going through at the time.

But Kendall has remained entirely silent on the subject – until now. Because the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians showed the aftermath of the Pepsi fiasco.

At the beginning of the episode, we see Kendall call Kourtney and Khloé to tell them she feels bad about the ad.

"Kendall did a commercial, and it basically caused a huge controversy, and it sucks because Kendall's been taking the blame for it all," Khloé then says during an interview.

And then we see Kendall in a confessional interview, talking about how excited she was to be considered for the job.

But she also says that, after the backlash occurred, she immediately realised that she had been in the wrong.

She then expresses worry that her dad, Caitlyn Jenner, would speak publicly about the situation and just make things worse.

Talking on the phone to Kim, Kendall said: "Whatever [Caitlyn] says, because she's my dad, people are going to really believe it and take it and run with it, when it's like, what does she even actually know?"

But it turns out that, even though Kim called Caitlyn to warn her not to say anything about the ad, Caitlyn made the whole thing worse anyway.

And we then see a confessional interview with Kim and Kendall, in which Kendall reiterates that Caitlyn had no idea what she was talking about.

Kim then gives Kendall some advice, saying she should use the situation as a learning experience, and just be "real and honest" with people.

And the episode ends with that footage of Kendall crying, which she had apparently never wanted the world to see.

Well, I guess that's that.
