Your Last Semester Of College: As Told By The Office

Let's just say your last semester of college can be... interesting.

There comes a time in a person’s college career when they realize it’s almost over. All the hard work, long hours and endless assignments will soon be no more. However, there is also another side. Now you have to go out into the real world and be an actual adult. I know, it sounds awful. Making it through that last semester can be the hardest, especially when a case of “senioritis” kicks in. To maybe help make it a little easier, here are a few tips for preparing for that last semester of college (with a little help from The Office).

1. Group projects, upon group projects, upon group projects. Oh, did I mention you’ll probably have some group projects, too? Be prepared to work with others (and maybe even fight with others). After all, your grade depends on it

2. There will come a time you just want to rip all your hair out and give up, but don’t do that! You’ve already spent far too much money to quit now.

3. I’ve made it through three and a half years of college, so surely one last semester won’t be all that bad, right? Right? RIGHT!? Oh, no, my friend. The fun has only just begun. Be prepared to work.

4. Coffee will be your best friend. SERIOUSLY.

5. There is no shame in taking a nap between classes in your car. In fact, it may even become part of your daily routine!

6. When “senioritis” hits, it hits hard! And I’m sorry to say that, unfortunately, there is no cure. Don’t let it catch you!

7. Don’t be afraid to ask questions! I know we’ve heard that since we were kids, but this is the last chance you have to ask them. Once you’re in the real world, people will start asking you those same questions, so you better know the answers!

8. When it’s time to go home, it’s time to go home. You can only spend so much time on campus before you go crazy, so don’t hesitate to take a break and just go home for a while.
