My name is Elliott Cottington. I'm from New Canaan, Connecticut, and I'm a freshman here at Northeastern.

2. I'm majoring in International Business!

I'm minoring in Spanish, but I love learning new languages, experiencing new cultures, and trying new foods! I've always had a serious case of wanderlust.

3. I have a pretty big family.

I'm the youngest of five boys, and my oldest brother is ten years older than me! I don't have any sisters, and even all of our pets were boys. My mom had to put up with a lot!

4. I really love food....

Like I REALLY love food. I sometimes watch videos on Youtube of people making food, that's how much I love it..

5. But I'm also vegan!

I have been vegan for almost two years now, and I love it! I mostly stick to my vegan diet for the health benefits, but I also feel good knowing that I am not harming any animals through my eating habits!

6. I eat too many vegetables.

I really enjoy vegetables. Name a veggie and I have probably tried it, and if I haven't, then I probably want to! I went through a phase where I ate so many carrots that the palms of my hands turned orange...

7. Fruits are also pretty darn great.

Don't even get me started on watermelon..

8. I also (sometimes) like to exercise.

I mean I'm no Usain Bolt, but I enjoy going for a run every once in a while. Once I work up the motivation to head out for a run, I typically really enjoy it! And that joy lasts for the whole month until my next run! Boston is a great place to go running, and I have become more familiar with the city solely through running.

9. I have my lazy side.

Pajama Days = the best days. I sometimes don't know if I should be proud or ashamed that I managed to finish 4 seasons of HBO's Girls in 4 days...

10. I love music!

I would call my taste in music 'eclectic'. My playlists include artists such as Beyonce, Taylor Swift, St. Lucia, Nicki Minaj, and Ellie Goulding, to name a few. I also like pretending I can sing/rap. If you are ever looking for a skinny white boy to cover Nicki Minaj raps for you, I'm available most weekends.

11. I dabble in photography.

I think my Instagram account (@ecottington) demonstrates that, if I can toot my own horn, I'm not the worst photographer. Although, most of the time I'm just taking selfies..

12. Fall is my favorite season!

The crisp air, the apple picking, the leaves changing color; fall in New England is by far the best season. Plus, it's great for me because if its above 75 degrees, I'm sweating, and if its below 45 degrees, I'm shivering, so fall is the perfect happy medium.

13. Christmas is my favorite holiday!

I really, REALLY love Christmas. And not just because of presents, but because everything is all festive, and people are more cheerful, and we get a month off of school, and giving gifts is the best feeling. I once cried during my Economics class because I was thinking about Christmas. It was October.

14. Clearly I sometimes get too excited...

When I get excited about something, you will know it. If I'm looking forward to something, it's probably all I will talk about in the months leading up to it. I often get so worked up over something I'm excited about that I can't fall asleep the night before..

15. I'm a morning person!

Even if I've only gotten 3 hours of sleep (Christmas Day), I will still be up before 9 a.m. I like to get up early so that I can make the most of my day, even if that means I stay in bed watching Netflix.

16. I'm just a little bit clumsy...

I would describe myself as a klutz. This characteristic can be demonstrated by the multiple iPhone screens I've shattered from dropping them, or the amount of times I've tripped on a flat surface.

17. I'm a little shy.

It takes me some time to warm up to new people.

18. But I love making friends!

Even though I can be shy, I actually really enjoy making friends and getting to know new people. Once I come out of my shell, I'm actually very friendly!
