Russian Town Turns Tanks Into Toys

In Soviet Russia...eh, you make the joke. In the military city of Omsk, decommissioned tanks get new life as childhood playthings.

Most of the tanks come from the 60s and 70s and were welded up before being placed in playgrounds. The city used to also have decommissioned planes, but locals were prone to dismantling them for parts/scrap.

Each "toy" cost upwards of one million dollars to create.
