It's day one of the federal election campaign and things took a turn for the worse for the Liberal candidate for Greenway, 37-year-old Filipino-Australian Jaymes Diaz. A flustered Diaz was left speechless by Channel Ten reporter John Hill when he was repeatedly asked to outline the Coalition's plan to "stop the boats". While the opposition leader Tony Abott was sympathetic to this gaffe, it seems Diaz has learned the hard way that he should think twice about speaking to the media unless prepared.
