    If your TikTok 'for you' page is filled with different makeup hacks (like mine is), you're probably itching to give them a go. To save you some time, I've gone through them to find the hacks that I (speaking as a makeup artist) would actually use. I'll take you through everything you'll need to master each look, plus a few application tips!

    1. Let's kick it off with the white concealer hack, which is said to brighten the under eyes and lift the face.

    To nail this hack, you want to start off with a hydrating, full coverage concealer like this e.l.f. hydrating camo concealer.

    The trick is to go in with a shade of this concealer that's pretty close to your foundation (you don't want to pick one that's too brightening – that'll come later). In the beauty industry, this is known to be one of the best performing concealers that you can get at an affordable price, as it's able to give a high level of coverage without drying out your skin. In simple terms, that means you can cover up any darkness effortlessly whilst avoiding the heavy, cakey look.

    Next, apply this white concealer from LA Girl to the inner corners of your under eye area.

    Once you've blended out your first concealer, apply this white LA Girl one that a lot of people on TikTok have been using (I know, white concealer scares me too). The important part is that you use just a little bit of product and place it on the inner section of your under eye area. To create that lifted look, you can also apply some to the outer corner of your eye in an upward direction.

    As I mentioned, the key to this TikTok hack is making sure you've nailed the placement of the white concealer. Applying and beginning to blend it with this brush with help you to control how much product you're using, and ensure the blend comes out absolutely seamlessly *chef's kiss*.

    2. Using an eyebrow pencil and cream blush on your lips is a game changer.

    Line your lips with an eyebrow pencil. Personally, I really like this mechanical one from NYX.

    TikTok claims that using the same shade to line your lips that you use to fill your brows will leave you with the perfect lip liner colour. Personally I'm a little skeptical of that, so I opt for a slightly lighter eyebrow pencil instead (because my brow hairs are super dark). Loads of normal lip liners tend to bleed and lose their definition when I use them with a gloss, but so far that's never happened when I've used a brow pencil. I don't know about you, but that's kind of ground-breaking to me.

    Fill the centre of your lips with a cream blush like this velvet-textured stick from Kiko.

    The key is that you want to pick the shade of blush that you would typically use on your cheeks. Supposedly the shade that suits your face looks just as gorgeous as a lip colour and I'll be honest, they're not wrong. Personally I find coral blush tones suit my complexion pretty well, and after trying it on my lips I'm positively obsessed. Apply it by getting some product on your finger and gently bouncing it onto your lips for a soft pop of colour. Play around with a few different blush shades to find which one suits you best, and once you've found the one I can guarantee it'll become your new go-to lippy.

    Not only will this create your own perfect lip gloss shade, the formula of this Kiko gloss creates a subtle plumped look. It's the perfect way to accentuate your lips without using a slightly uncomfortable lip plumper.

    Use a darker shade of concealer that you find super easy to blend. My personal favourite is this one from Makeup Revolution.

    Concealers like this one are a lot easier to work with when it comes to contouring your face, because the formula is super creamy and blendable. In terms of placement, you want to use the concealer to draw a short line starting from the top of your cheekbone coming down sightly in the direction towards your mouth. Make sure you're applying this on top of your cheekbone rather than below it – that's what's going to make all the difference.

    Blend it out carefully using a brush like this one which has a flat top.

    Using a brush that has a flat top like this means you can create a defined and chiseled look once you've blended the product out. Dab the brush over the concealer, making sure to blend upwards rather than letting the product move further down the face. You want to make sure you don't swipe the product around too much, so be patient with it and keep dabbing the brush until you get the lifted look you're going for!

    4. Creating a naturally full looking brow using soap is a big thing on TikTok right now, so let's talk about how to do it.

    This Pears soap is the most popular product on TikTok to achieve the 'soap brow' look.

    Wet this bar of soap with water or any kind of makeup setting spray, get the product on a spoolie, and brush through your brow hairs. This soap dries clear so you shouldn't get any of that unwanted residue ruining your look. The staying power with this is incredible, so whether you have fine or thick brow hairs this should work a dream.

    Use a spoolie like this one to control how much soap you're applying, and style your brows however you choose.

    Brush the spoolie over the bar of soap to gather a good amount of product, brush back and forth through your brow hairs to get them well coated, then use the spoolie to comb through your eyebrows in the direction you like. This spoolie even comes with a slanted brush on the other end, so you can use it with a brow pomade to fill in any gaps for a fuller look!

    If soap brows feel like a bit too much faff but you love the look it creates, let me introduce you to this NYX brow glue.

    This brow glue comes with a mini spoolie which is ready to be run through your brows. Mimic the same technique as you would with the soap brows – brush the applicator through your hairs to coat them before going ahead and styling them how you like. It's a faster alternative to the traditional soap brow, and works well if you're on the hunt for a slightly more natural-looking version of the soap brow trend.

    You can thicken up the look of your fluffy brows in a natural-looking way with this Urban Decay double ended eyebrow pen.

    Whether you prefer the effect of a precise brow pencil or a thin felt liner offering more of an ink finish, you can use this product to recreate the look of individual brow hairs. By drawing hair strokes over the top of your soap brows, you'll create a naturally fluffier brow look.

    5. Here's a hack that will minimise the appearance of your pores within seconds. Yes, you read that right.

    First, use this hyaluronic fixing spray over your foundation and concealer.

    Once you've blended out all of your cream base products (foundation, concealer, cream contour, etc), spray a generous amount of this bad boy over your face and push it into your skin using a damp sponge. This helps to hydrate your face and melt all the products in to your skin (and each other) before you set them in place with powder.

    When it comes to the damp sponge, you want to use one of these two. Option one, the original, the classic, the best in my opinion – the beauty blender.

    A lot of people will tell you it doesn't matter what sponge you use, and I'm here to tell you I'm pretty sure it does matter. In my experience, using the original beauty blender gives the most flawless finish, so I will always say it's worth the investment.

    Option two, a more affordable but very popular choice – the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge.

    These ones are slightly stiffer but actually preferred by a lot of people, so they're definitely worth trying out if you're not convinced by the original beauty blender just yet. Use them damp, and you'll be obsessed with the finish they give you.

    Add a loose translucent powder (like this Airspun one) with the same damp sponge.

    Press the damp sponge into your translucent powder (the finer the formula of the powder, the better), and tap off any excess powder onto the back of your hand. This makes sure you're applying an even amount of powder to your face, and means it's less likely you'll have any dry patches turning up once your makeup's done. After you've done that, press the sponge with the powder over your face, pushing the powder into the skin. For an even more airbrushed look, apply some more of the fixing spray to your face and follow that with another round of powder to the places where you have enlarged pores. Next, prepare to be mind-blown.

    6. Create that snatched, face lifted look by applying your false lashes at a particular angle.

    First, find a cat-eye lash style that you like the look of. These ones are a great example.

    Trim these lashes from the outer end to make them small enough to cover about half to three quarters of your eye length. When it comes to applying the lash, you want to attach the outer part of the lash a little higher on the eye than your natural lash line so the lashes start to lift upwards. This creates a lifted illusion, and you can just use a little eyeliner to fill in the gap between your natural lash line and the fake lashes. This is definitely a favourite TikTok hack of mine, and I don't think I've stopped doing it since I first tried it.
