10 Awesome National Days Coming Up During March

Apparently there are national days for pretty much ANYTHING out there you can think of. Here are 10 of the best coming up in the next few weeks!

1. March 10th - National Mario Day

Legend has it (ok, fairly recent legend has it) that gamers chose this day to honour the versatile Italian plumber due to the fact that 'March 10th' in short form reads 'Mar.10'.

We recommend getting in a few circuits round Bowser's Castle and Rainbow road to celebrate this important holiday.

2. March 11th - National Worship of Tools Day

Apparently this is the day when all DIY fanatics out there are supposed to troop out to their garage and sacrifice a goat to the glory of their toolboxes. In reality it's just a day when people clean their tools and make sure they're fit for purpose, but the first definition sounds a LOT more interesting.

3. March 13th - National Open an Umbrella Indoors Day

Apparently this day acknowledges the superstition people have of not opening umbrellas indoors - but asks them to do so and then monitor if bad stuff happens.

Would-be umbrella openers are reminded that the 13th March falls on a Friday this year...

4. March 14th - National Learn About Butterflies Day

5. March 15th - National Everything You Think is Wrong Day
