Demonoid Remains Offline — Day 7

Over a week after the pop­u­lar Bit­Tor­rent search engine Demonoid was forced offline after a vicious DoS (Denial of Ser­vice) attack, the site shows no signs com­ing back online.

Over a week after the pop­u­lar Bit­Tor­rent search engine Demonoid was forced offline after a vicious DoS (Denial of Ser­vice) attack, the site shows no signs com­ing back online. In fact, things do not appear to be improv­ing, as the site is now redi­rect­ing to a ran­dom web­site, lead­ing ZDnet to spec­u­late the site may not return.

In the mean­time, how­ever, the site on our end doesn’t seem to be redi­rect­ing in the same man­ner as it was for ZDNet — how­ever the page did load sev­eral sites unre­lated to any­thing Demonoid. Although Demonoid has been DoS’d many times before, this time things seem just a bit more serious.
