    Okay all you non-Southerners out there, listen up. You may think you fancy your Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and yes even your precious little Wegmans, but I'm here to tell you that you are all wrong.

    Get ready y'all, because I'm about to drop some knowledge on you real fast. Publix is hands down the greatest grocery store to have ever existed, and here's why.

    1. It's super clean.

    The layout in Publix is actually gorgeous. The aisles are wide and honestly spotless. If luxurious grocery shopping existed, you could find it at Publix.

    2. They treat their employees well.

    From high wages to paid time off, Publix is a company that absolutely looks out for its employees.

    3. Their subs are honestly life changing.

    Anytime I fly home to Atlanta one of the first things I want to eat is my classic Publix sub. Trust me, you have not lived until you've grabbed a buffalo chicken tenders "Pub Sub."

    4. And nothing pairs better with a Pub Sub than their sweet tea.

    Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if they were putting cocaine in their sweet tea because it's that addicting. Be it original, peach, or even their white tea, you've got to grab a gallon before heading to the check out.

    5. Their chicken tenders could convert any vegan back to their meat eating ways.

    I'm definitely partial to their chicken tenders, but I have to give a shout out to their original fried chicken and their mardi gras wings. Okay really you just can't go wrong with any of the chicken available at the deli.

    6. They give children free cookies.

    Some prefer the chocolate chip cookie, others prefer the sugar cookie, but for me? I'll take them all.

    7. Everything in their bakery is delicious.

    Sure I could have gone across the street to the liquor store to grab beer back in college, but with the selection available at Publix, I really never had to.

    11. Their shopping carts don't squeak.

    Okay I know this is a very specific compliment, but there is nothing I hate more than getting stuck with the squeaky cart while grocery shopping. Luckily at Publix I never have to worry about it because their carts are regularly fixed.

    12. Their balloon department deserves any and every award.

    Giving your best friend a giant balloon to carry around on their birthday was a tradition at my high school and we all knew Publix was the place to go when we needed a last minute balloon before heading to class.

    13. Their flower selection is actually stunning.

    Whether you are shopping for a quick bouquet to bring your significant other, or a boutonniere for prom, the Publix flower section has you covered.

    14. They will walk your groceries to your car for you.

    15. And they have THE BEST holiday commercials.

    Nothing can raise your holiday spirits much like a Publix Thanksgiving or Christmas commercial. And if you don't have the Publix pilgrim salt and pepper shakers on your Thanksgiving table, did you even celebrate?
