Bianca Del Rio Helps Sherry VIne - "Just For One Day"
Sherry Vine's crowd sourced indie film "Just For One Day" wrapped on Monday when special guest star Bianca Del Rio filmed her scenes.

Deborah: So, Sherry, you just wrapped production on a film called "Just For One Day." What is the film about? Is it a documentary or a narrative?
Sherry: It's a short screwball comedy! James Bond meets Carol Burnett!
D: How did you get the idea to do a film? You mentioned you felt like everybody was doing videos...
S: Film was my first passion, since I was three years old. Acting is all I have ever done my whole life. I have acted in dozens of indie films and have always wanted to make my own. Francis Legge (my video partner) and I have been talking about making a film for years. I had this idea about two years ago and now we are finally doing it.
D: Tell me more about financing the film through Indiegogo?
S: I looked into all the funding sites and felt like IndieGogo suited our needs best. We got very close to our goal and people are actually still donating! Whew! Of course, we've gone several thousand dollars over budget so hopefully it will all be worth it. Lol. I know it will - I think it will do quite well in the film festival circuit. Funding took about a month. And yes, people can still contribute!! Just message me and I'll give the PayPal or snail mail address for donations. Any amount helps!!
D: How long did it take to film?
S: It was supposed to be three days but we didn't finish - I had an unrealistic plan because with our videos we have no equipment really and shoot very fast. For this project we have a team, sound, lights, etc. So it was four days and then, on Monday, one quickie for Bianca.
D: Is this for theatrical release or more for You Tube or another online avenue?
S: The first plan is to do the international film circuit. Then we'll see, It's a short so not sure about a theatrical run. We would love for Netflix or something like that to pick it up as a series or produce or next film. I've got loads of ideas!! Just need some coins!
Q: Who else is in the film besides Bianca?
S: The legendary Misstress Formika is returning to drag for this so that's very exciting! She's the villainess. There are also appearances from Bob The Drag Queen, Peppermint, Bianca del Rio, Svetlana, Daria and other queens from NYC.
D: Was there a casting couch involved?
S: Lol - I've already slept with everyone so there was no need.
Q: Did you get Bianca to give you a cameo in Hurricane Bianca in exchange for letting her be in your film?
S: I didn't have to bribe her this time, surprisingly. I haven't been asked yet but she knows I'd do anything. We have worked together a lot and always have fun. She's a real trooper for giving me one of rare days off.
Q: Describe your type of drag! I feel like it's mature and not slutty but still really "Potty-mouthed."
S: Not slutty??? What am I doing wrong? I hope "mature" isn't code for old. Jackie Beat described me best; "Middle-aged barbie"!
D: Does Sherry Vine audition for, or aspire to be on Drag Race?
S: No. I wish they would do a Season of "The Seasoned Queen" for performers like myself, Jackie, Varla, Hedda, etc that have been around for 20 years! Wouldn't that be exciting? ( Deb - yessss!)
D: We discovered that you grew up about 20 minutes from me. Was that you I saw shoplifting at the Columbia Mall back in 1993???
S: Yes, I grew up in Columbia and Ellicott City, MD. I worked in almost every store in the Mall!! I was fired from a department store once for having a free coke in the restaurant. Assholes. But I marched down to the other end of the Mall, told that department store what happened and they hired me the same day!
D: What popular song are you gagging to parody but just haven't gotten to yet?
S: I'm working on a parody of "I'm Like A Bird called I Smell A Turd." Classy!
D: What's next for Sherry Vine?
S: I'll be performing in Christmas With The Crawfords this year. So excited because I haven't done theatre in years and that's my real passion! I'm playing Baby Jane Hudson and Hedda Hopper!
