5 Reasons To Dread Spring Break As A College Senior

Let's take a minute and remind ourselves that we will never have a week off just because of the season ever again.

1. Speak Break means only a few weeks left until graduation

The feels are real and the forbidden "G" word is somehow closer than you think. You're either stressed about getting a job or depressed about leaving the place you've called home the past four years. The number of days you have left to constantly be with your best friends without having real responsibilities are slowly declining. Before you know it, the morning of "G" will arrive uninvitedly.

2. This ultimately means that it's only downhill from here

Unfortunately, your biggest challenge will no longer be finding a working printer on campus. You're becoming a real person if you like it or not. Although you might be a bit washed up, you have reached the home stretch and all of the glory days are over. Time to embrace the 9-5 workday and tax return being the highlight of your year.

3. Your liver will hate you the last few weeks of college

This is when your friends start convincing you to go out every day of the week by pulling the classic "there are only five more Tuesday's left, you have to come." Half-off wine and $4 Red Bull vodka nights are definitely more important than that 25 page paper you have to write. You have to take advantage of those college week nights where it is acceptable to drink too much and be out too late . Good luck with those hangovers though. And that paper.

4. You realize you're starting the next chapter of your life with no money

You felt the need to spend all of your money over the years buying shots and drinks for everyone at the bar? Yup. And those special occasions when you went out to a nice dinner for once and felt the need to splurge by ordering the filet because you "deserve it"? (and by special occasion, I mean every Sunday night) I agree, you needed it. But now you're completely broke and your debit card is worthless? Me too. And now you're expected to move out soon and support yourself? Not too sure how that'll happen.

5. Emotions will be at an all time high

You're basically being forced to experience your last spring break, because you're basically being forced to graduate. You'll be wearing that cap and gown before you know it. In just a few weeks, everyone will be moving on to the next chapter of their lives. Your best friends that have always lived a few steps away, will now live across the country. Here's to spring break never ending so we never have to face these realities. Cue the tears.
